Coached against Drew and Kevin last year. On a junior high level they were unstoppable. All kelly needs is a 6'6 kid to match up against those schools from Houston and Dallas and they could make some noise in then playoffs. 

it's a private school.  Without recruits, it wouldn't have any students.

You know what I've been thinking....I'm what's wrong with high school coaches? No...YOU sir is what's wrong with America. This whole thread is.

"What should a high school coach do for ME"... How about this. "What should I DO FOR ME?!"

Get in the weight room, get on the track, get off the couch this summer, get your grades up, stay out of trouble, stay long hours watching film, take criticism and fix it instead of cry about it....

This whole topic has officially pissed me off....what should someone else do for me...do it yourself!!!!! Do that and they'll help you I promise. Earn your help.

And guess what....even when all that happens...it still might not matter. Sometimes you're just not big enough, not strong enough, not fast enough, not smart enough,...NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

They only made 1 movie about kids like Rudy.... That's because that doesn't ever happen.

It's a D1 problem. I have been around both D1 and D2 baseball players and programs. It's night and day.
 
Emporia St. (D2): No plane rides, no pregame meals, no free gloves, not much of anything is free. The team voted on a pair of flats or a pair of cleats (thanks Adidas) and chose flats. Parents riased money so the team could eat after away games. Parents take turns providing "snacks" for in between Saturday double headers (every Saturday).  Team won the MIAA Conference Tournament and the team received a plastic banner.
 
Houston (D1): Charter Bus/Plane to all Away games. New glove every season (one for each position you may play), batting gloves upon request, personal bat, Nike spikes-flats-shower shoes, 4 practice uniforms, Travel warm-ups, catered pre-game meal before games at home and on the road, energy food provided in the dugout and locker room during games. 4 games a week, no double headers. Team won the AAC Conference Tournament and each player received a ring. 
 
So yes, D1 players feel entitled. 

I seen that man walk to mid-field and got a call overruled, that man drove a golf cart up to a ref. Classic! 

Part of coaching is working the referees. And no one, and I do mean NO ONE, has ever been better at that than Coach K.

On a local level, the best I ever saw was Dan Hooks. He was a master as well.

The most Athletic Kid are Jordan Hunter, Mike Jaquet, and Grayland. That's speed, agility, vertical, durability, and endurance. Although I seen a 5'6 kid from PA do a tomahawk two hand the other day.

Now as for as Athlete. There is no question and Idc about small school or whatever. Grayland gets it done against whatever competition. He is a top tier football player. Could be a mid major basketball player. His 10.6 would put him among the fastest in the area regardless of class. He is the best Athlete no question.

Is it harder to rush for a 1000 yards playing Kountze's schedule or Central's schedule? What about score 30 pts in a basketball game, Kountze or Central? I'm not arguing against the kid's athleticism. But, its ridiculous to pretend like he's not playing against lesser competition.

I've watched D1 players that can't lay down a bunt, can't go the other way, and have no clue how to hit in counts and/or situations.
 
Like the kid in basketball who spends all day trying to perfect his dunking skills and refuses to work on free throws, many HS hitters spend all day in BP trying to hit HR's and do not work on the "little" things.
 
I'm not talking about practice time. I know coaches work on situational hitting in BP. I'm talking about those 100 hacks you're putting in every day on YOUR time.

Money is not an issue at WSU. For a school their size, they have a fairly well funded endowment.

So, you could say the Shockers are well endowed.

Never looked into the UMASS situation but the Memphis violations were because of Derrick Rose having someone take his SAT or ACT for him. How you get away with that who knows. But Cal had nothing to do with Memphis getting the wins vacated.

Baylor vs ND on Espn is a doozy!

I figured Ryan harrow would be playing for them. Even if they still have two high majors guards on there team. If harrow is back next week a lot of brackets could be screwed even further
