As far as Silsbee football, Seniors need to step it up in the classroom, and they should be ready for another run. Otherwise might be a long season.lol 

This is what I'm talking about.  Taylor should be considered for his playoff performances..... but Dontre deserved it in 2016 when y'all got bounced in the first round.  
If you think Taylor deserves it because of his playoff performances, then you certainly must agree that The Legend of Jack Dallas rightfully won in 2016 after leading the Disgustangs to a state championship.
You can't have it both ways, Smoketown. 

I think Morris from HF is the favorite on offense. 

Talking locally but #1 statewide Northshore Duncanville from 2018 would top my list too.

Just hate he won't be able to cap this great accomplishment off  with a state championship

Can we please not start this again...

I'm gonna go out on a limb and predict that we will have a rematch in 6A D1 this year. Anybody else agree and who you got?

I agree.
Foster may be the QB on the teams that have had the most success, but that doesn't make him the best all time QB at Silsbee.
Not knocking Dontre's or any of those other kids opinion, but they are wrong. I have seen way more Silsbee QB's than they have and trust me, Foster is not top 5.
 

Can’t base a Top 5 QB on the success of the team. It has totally been a team effort. Many players stepping up and Awesome play calling.  Stats speak for themselves. Anything else is mere words and opinions. 

The key to stopping WOS is Silsbee’s defense has got show up and show out. If they play like they did against Smithville. They could possibly get the W. 

Me personally I think silsbee is just as talented.if anyone ever read my post.i only say what I see from an overall stand point.never once do I say who will win. Both teams have things to work on.in sum games sum matchup favor sum teams.me personally this game is all about the line of scrimmage. 
 
 

Silsbee has quiet a few RB coming up. Dodd and Martin for sure from JV. Martin did very well for a freshman on JV on defense. Saw some of his highlights on Twitter. See they got moved up for the playoffs. I can see Silsbee will have speed for Years to come. 

I agree. But everyone talk about Newton losing Foster Barlow and Brown who spent most of their time on offense. Newton don’t have a problem scoring. What hurt Newton is not replacing Metoyer, Kellum, Paulette, and McGraw. If it’s one thing about Newton. Their defense has been the key to winning. Defense was good with Sylvester but not like it was the last two years. 

Would be nice to have this game at Da Butch...

Newton beat DF in the state game 21-0. 

Some Giddings folk are saying their game next week with Bellville will probably be at the Woodlands.

If its WOS and Silsbee then this just makes no sense, again!

Sounds good to me. Newton defeated Daingerfield in 98 and went on to win state.

Gilmer boy here, I saw the score and had to come see what happened. Our boys knew every play Newton was running before yall ran it. The OC over there is telegraphing every play. Looks like we aren't the only ones to figure it out. Yall should of dominated Hemphill, anderson-shiro, and New Diana but they are seeing whats come before it happens just like our boys did.

Top 3 receivers in their district. All over 400 yards receiving. Silsbee has got to put pressure on the QB to stop that passing game. Can’t let him get that ball off. 

You can believe that if you want to. Adjustments needed to be made.  Can’t get better if no one is willing to admit something is wrong.
