  1. ok, it's now official. shaq is a sun. i think the heat definitely got the better end of this deal, unless shaq get's hip replacement surgery in the offseason.
  2. Yup, i think that will make all the difference. Hawks by 12.
  3. my take from the game, having actually been there at field level... first off, what a phenomenal atmosphere. the mexico fans outnumbered up about 15-1, but they really livened things up. the score could've been 2-0 at halftime. gooch's header was amazing, and jozy's finish was nice. dempsey's goal could've counted (i couldn't tell), and mexico's 1st half goal came off a ridiculous call leading to a set piece. the final could've been 3-1. that being said, the US was outclassed the entire game. mexico dominated about 75 minutes of the game, and killed us on the outside. convey was terrible, moor was bad, and corrales killed us all night. Mexico had an option down the line every time they touched the ball. there was no connection between our forwards and midfield, and every time mexico got the ball, they took it right down the field and were able to attack. The US just sent long balls up the middle the entire night, and it wasn't very effective. we had basically no good chances in the second half. ricardo clark also looked bad in the midfield. benny should've been in the whole game, and maurice edu should've seen the field sooner. when they came in, the US looked a little better. Tim Howard had a really nice game, and Jozy looked pretty good up front considering his lack of experience. Donovan had an up and down game. Gooch and Bocanegra were solid in the back. The US needs to improve a lot. It didn't help that the ref called a terrible game. He was so blatantly biased against the United States that even had they played better they would've had trouble getting a win. All in all, the US was very fortunate to finish with this result. Even though they clearly SHOULD have won, they didn't deserve to even tie. But what an experience!
  4. lamar 102 Nicholls 79 lamar is gonna break out in a big way offensively (unless they don't) in which case lamar 84 Nicholls 79
  5. shaq has no upside. the suns will be hurting if he keeps missing games at the rate he has been. i agree that parting with marion may be a good move for team chemistry, but shaq is a poor choice. anywho, it's fine by me. anything that may potentially hurt the suns is good for the mavs and the rockets.
  6. Hmm... do you think now maybe he'll make sure they concentrate a little more on pitching?
  7. ya'll look for me on ESPN2! i'll be the short, fat, hairy kid getting beer thrown on him.
  8. if he says nederland-vidor, he's nuts. there's two of those every year!
  9. A bit closer than the first game, but not much. HJ 93 BC 53
  10. nice total for the kid... i guess him being out half the season would explain why we haven't heard anything about him.
  11. No one has a firm hold on a playoff spot. We are not even half way through district. you're right. i forget how polarized this district is. there is very little middle ground. i will say that two wins in a row against teams who will be fighting for the last playoff spot puts them in good position, at the moment, at least.
  12. i'm sorry to hear that. something tells me that their coach will make sure they see the error of their ways...
  13. geez, they're pouring it on now. it had looked like it might be a close finish.
  14. i really thought this would be a close game. nice effort by silsbee.
  15. this one had me nervous... a nice win for HJ, and a very effort from the bobcats.
  16. the expected result so far, but central is certainly within striking distance.
  17. wow, they really opened this one up late! the way that both teams have been playing, i expected a lot closer result.
  18. tiger is the bastard love product of a jack nicklaus, arnold palmer, and sam snead love triangle.
