  1. What's most is impressive is that although she's so young, she's still playing at such a high level in two varsity sports.
  2. That 91 team was something else... i remember going to watch them. i was young then, but i can still remember how good (and how tall) they were. they would win easily against last year's hawk team. they had size all over the place, shooters who never seemed to go cold, and a point guard who could really distribute. I remember a game where an opponent held them under 100 and basically celebrated at midcourt, even though they'd just lost by 40 or 50. 91 team- 94 07 team- 78 This was a pretty good topic
  3. I've noticed that the head coaches on here have been very quiet on this subject...
  4. . it takes more than "skills" to be successful in this district. if ya'll could combine those skills into skillful teamwork, i think a lot more teams would be worried about ya'll.
  5. My thoughts exactly. The fact that the money to pay for a semi-pro hockey team to play is coming out of taxpayers' pockets in unbelievable. If they can find a way to play and pay their own way, I'd love to see them stay. As it is, they have a lot of trouble drumming up fans, so that's going to be a tough proposition.
  6. Am I the only one that thinks all this was about taking the heat off of Bonds? I don't know that i agree with that. I think if they could, they'd have Bonds in handcuffs. The difference is that his trainer isn't saying a word, while Roger's was saving up evidence for just this occasion.
  7. Jason Kidd's 2008 numbers: 11.3 pts, 10.4 assists, 8.1 rebounds. Malik Allens' 2008 numbers: 5.4 pts, 0.6 assists, 2.7 rebounds. Devin Harris' 2008 numbers: 14.4 pts, 5.3 assists, 2.3 rebounds. Jerry Stackhouse's 2008 numbers: 9.8 pts, 2.5 assists, 2.4 rebounds. Hmm... this would almost be a fair trade (if you chose to ignore Harris' enormous upside, as he's only 24). now add in 3 more players, 3 million dollars, 2 first round draft picks. Did i mention that Kidd is shooting a career worst 36.6% from the field?
  8. This would be an awful trade for the mavs... fortunately, devean george just used his no-trade clause, so right now the deals' on hold! Here's the complete trade breakdown (if it goes through): Dallas gets: Kidd, and Malik Allen. For dealing a nobody and an antique point guard, New Jersey would get: Jerry Stackhouse, Devin Harris, Devean George, DeSegana Diop, Maurice Ager, 3 million bucks, and Dallas' first round pick this year, and their first round pick in 2010. Where is the upside in this trade for Dallas? You already have two very solid point guards in Terry and Harris. Why trade away one of those point guards, two VERY important role players in Stackhouse and Diop, a good bench player in George, and drop money and two first round draft picks in order to pick up an aging superstar. They're throwing away several important pieces of Dallas' future for a player that probably doesn't have but maybe 2-3 productive years left, and who is already on his downward swing. I'm befuddled. Hopefully Devean George will stand strong and keep this trade from happening, but i guess if he doesn't, Dallas can always throw Howard or Novitski in as a deal sweetener.
  9. Haha very funny for a guy thats probably overweight and giving such sarcastic citizim but we play hard if yall was on the field yall will have a different point of view but since yall dont all yall be doin is talkin s*** and its gettin to get annoyingso just lay worry about yourself before yall start talkin about people Even if i weighed 500 lbs, i don't see how that would be relevant. Conversation about the fact that ya'll get red cards every game is a legitimate subject on this board, although I'm sure you guys are just being punished for "playing hard" every game. I don't know when playing hard began to be equated with getting ejected. Ya'll need to start worrying about playing the game instead of fighting, talking crap on the field, and making dirty tackles. I played against central 6 or 7 times while i was in high school and i can remember how hard they played, but i never remember anyone getting ejected.
  10. Man, that really surprises me. They usually have a solid team... what's going on at the Brook?
  11. Guys, i didn't make this poll to cause animosity! I honestly feel that both --- and --- are good options, depending on which side of the fence you're on. I actually received a PM from someone who suggested ----, and while i don't agree, his argument held some logic.
  12. This one's an obvious choice. Central will win, 2-1... in red cards. as for goals, lumberton's going to take this one easily, 4-1.
  13. What an unbelievable game. Kentucky's just lucky that Vandy decided to take it easy on them at the defensive end, or thisg ame could've been even uglier.
  14. $$$$$$$$$$ They're running a sweatshop in dallas... you'll be paid 14 cents an hour plus water.
  15. fair enough... kingwood park won't be there long, though, will they?
  16. If anyone deserves it, Acie does... he played a tremendous part in bringing them into the elite of college basketball.
  17. so basically because bill walton accomplished less than shaq in his career, he's not allowed to point out a blatant truth? it makes sense...
  18. What a huge result for Orangefield! The question remaining is whether they can do it twice in a row.
  19. much closer than i expected... was ozen resting players, or did dayton come to play?
