  1. there are some really low scoring games tonight. hawks need to pick it up!
  2. he's unbelievable... and to think, he's just now coming into the beginning of his prime.
  3. are they playing a lot of possession, or are they missing a lot of shots?
  4. they've been playing better basketball. i'm glad to see it pay off with a W. congrats!
  5. i like lumberton's chances to make it this year. that being said, if the district hadn't changed, and if there wasn't an extra team going, i doubt they would.
  6. hmmm... maybe he should've gone to texas ;D just kidding, coop!
  7. go hawks! they are capable of causing teams some fits come playoff time...
  8. sounds like a good decision. i'd rather go to a school where i was a priority rather than a better school where i was an afterthought.
  9. decent win for nederland, and imo, a nice result for ozen. they've held another traditional power to a decent scoreline, although it sounds like the nederland might have called off the dogs a little bit.
  10. a really nice win for vidor. they putting a firm hold on a playoff spot with these recent wins.
  11. i'm not surprised at the closeness of the game, but it's really low-scoring!
  12. The Miami Heat's season has come to this: Shaquille O'Neal may be on the trading block. Citing two sources close to the situation, the Miami Herald reported on Tuesday that the team has told the center that he should be prepared for a possible deal. The Herald goes on to report that a trade of O'Neal to the Phoenix Suns for Shawn Marion and Marcus Banks has been discussed. One of O'Neal's representatives told the newspaper that they were informed that talks with Phoenix were ongoing and serious. ESPN.com's Marc Stein reports that this scenario has been rumored for a week, but it will not work without major modifications due to financial restraints. The Heat have a league-worst 9-37 record and have lost four straight. O'Neal has missed the last six games with a sore left hip. Heat coach Pat Riley said on Tuesday that O'Neal will undergo an MRI. ''We just want to back it up and see, after two weeks, what it shows,'' Riley said, according to the Herald. O'Neal led the Heat to the 2005-06 championship, but he is averaging a career-low 14.8 points per game, while adding 7.8 rebounds in 32 games this season. Trading O'Neal would open considerable salary cap room for Miami, which is due to pay the 35-year-old $20 million in each of the next two seasons.
  13. Good luck to both teams! i hope my hawks pull one off in a hard-fought, injury-free game.
  14. I'm ok with the 3A teams getting beaten up in the first round of the playoffs for a couple of years until we can get a 3A playoff system. having come from HJ back when we were reasonably competitive, we usually got beaten up in the 1st round of the playoffs anyway. nowadays, the local 3A teams aren't even going to the playoffs, so even if they get smoked in the 1st round, it's a step forward for them. It will also mean they get to play a meaningful district schedule, instead of just serving as punching bags for the talented 4A schools in the area. Hopefully, if these teams are fighting for a district championship instead of losing every game by 10, they will gain some fan support. Aries, although your point about the 4A schools possibly losing players to injury in these 1st round games has some merit, I think it's safer for the bigger schools to only play one game against the rougher, lesser-skilled 3A's in the playoffs rather than 6-8 games during the regular district schedule.
  15. sounds like it has the makings of a good one.
  16. Now that's funny. Everblades general manager Craig Brush said this about Coach Cameron... and i quote: "He'e so full of s***, it comes out of his ears." that's funny, i don't care who you are.
  17. A girfriend of mine at A&M went to Nolan. Let's just say if their defense is as stingy as she was, expect a low scoring game. ahahahaha! well played, sir.
  18. this just in... tie game, late in the 2nd half. mr. greenway needs a break, coach brings in mama greenway, and she scores the game winner on a bicycle kick from just outside the box.
  19. he might have some other ulterior motives. if he leaves now, his son is pretty much guaranteed to take over. if he does it in the offseason, who knows who replaces him.
