different crews call games differently. when you have a team that plays a smothering press like the hawks, they're going to benefit from a crew that lets the game roll, but a crew that calls it tight (for example the crew that reffed the silsbee/hj game) will hurt a high pressure team. does that mean that either set of officials is better or worse than the other? of course not. it just means that teams must be able to adjust to how the game is being called and play accordingly.

i saw the second half, and HJ looks like they've improved from years past.

with four teams going to the playoffs, ya'll have a outside chance of getting in. if ya'll can win all 4 games between jasper and silsbee you should be in. an upset or even a tie or two against any of the other three should be enough to clinch the 4th spot if ya'll handle your business against silsbee and jasper.

Turner is a beast on defense! he had like 6 steals by the midpoint of the second quarter. the hawks seemed reluctant to shoot, and were passing up open threes to get the ball down low. you gotta love ricossa's one handed freethrows!

as long as he wins a district championship next year he'll have nothing to worry about. ;D seriously, though, if he comes in and shows any sort of improvement next season i'm sure he'll be accepted, but he has to turn that improvement into playoff appearances pretty quickly or i don't think he'll last too long.
