  1. I have lived in Vidor all of my life.  My boys have also grew up here and went to school here.  IMO it doesn't matter what other people think about our town.  The people that live here and have children that go to our schools and participate in sports know the truth.  I do not know that Vidor will ever outlive the stigma that has been attached to our town.  I would like to think in time that will change.  Will it?  I doubt it.  However to the kids and coaches - keep doing what you are doing and maybe someday it will.
  2. We are watching.  I did not see the call either - but what do I know - I am just a soccer mom - lol.  I do understand that we are watching a friendly but I am not impressed with the US at the moment.  Just started the 2nd half - going to watch.
  3. I am still here :) :)  I had to go to Wally World.  It was pretty cool - lots of people on Main St. with signs, pirate flags and air horns cheering for the Pirates as their buses left for the game.  Vidor Pirates have a lot of fans.  Even though I won't be at the game - I will be cheering from home.  GO PIRATES!!!!!
  4. That would be awesome :D :D  I am not able to go to the game to support our Pirates but I would really like to listen to it.
  5. Is the game gonna be broadcast on SETXSPORTS?
  6. I have my ticket and I am going to try to get there early - any suggestions to where I might park? In the past we have always parked on the visitor's side where the bus's are parked. Is that going to be available? Any suggestions will be appreciated.
  7. Travis has been playing on the reserve team also. I believe they have 2 more games. He travels with the varsity team and has gotten some playing time. The varsity team has just started conference play. Hopefully Travis will get more playing time after the reserve team finishes their schedule. I talked to his coach after the LA college game and he told me Travis is doing very well and will be a great asset to Delta State ;D ;D. Most important of all - Travis loves where he is at. Not only is he getting his education - he is able to play soccer also.
  8. All the drama for a scrimmage/practice!!! - What's gonna happen when district starts?? LOL - Go Pirates!!!
