  1. My wife's cousin plays for UCA, so we were at the game today. The cards were definitely the better team, but they were helped by 5 UCA errors and 3 or 4 hit batsmen. On top of that, Lamar's left fielder made a grab at the fence to rob UCA of a grand slam in the 3rd. It might have been a different ballgame without that catch. All that being said, Lamar looked pretty good today.
  2. They really tore it up at the end! I was impressed at the way they pulled away so quickly.
  3. push. if Memphis can establish the fast break and hit freethrows, they'll win. If Texas can get their guard play going, and get a decent showing down low, they'll win. I do have Texas winning in my bracket, though.
  4. Texas will not be able to stop the Lopez twins... the question will be whether or not they can contain them. If UT's guards man up and make it difficult to get the ball down low, and if Texas' big men can force the twins to shoot a little further out, Texas should win. Texas' advantage in the guard play can more than compensate for Stanford's advantage in the post. Should be a great game!
  5. just a little fun fact i bet you guys didnty know thy are twins P.S.(post scriptum) I baleive it is spelled lo[glow=red,2,300]pp[/glow]ez I think everyone knows they are twins, and it's definitely lopez.
  6. I almost picked this upset, but I never would've imagined it would be that big of a win for Siena.
  7. I'm glad they're playing UCLA. Even though I'm in Cali right now, I'll still get to watch the game.
  8. UCLA is the better team, but A&M matches up favorably with them size-wide. Should be a good game.
  9. Depends on the school. At a school with an abundance of solid players, a soccer background, and an actual soccer coach, I would say yes. At a school with very few real soccer players, no real history of soccer success, and a coach who is really a linebacker coach, then i say no. there's only so much that he can do with a group that has never played before and doesn't play in any leagues in the offseason.
  10. I was going to mention that, but I really wasn't trying to be mean.
  11. Xavier up three! 52-49 with 7 left.
  12. Don't be silly. If LCM had been bumped out of the football playoffs by Waller, there would be some of the football guys who play soccer that would be itching to run into them in the playoffs again. You're overreacting. He said he hoped LCM wins. He simply stated that he wouldn't mind playing Waller, either.
  13. good news for me... i don't have UGA advancing in any of my brackets, but i do have xavier going to the sweet 16 in a couple
  14. not real happy about these developments.
  15. No problem at all!! We needed a fresh start! I'm just hoping that this year they'll actually change the values of players throughout the year so that by the end we aren't all sharing 7 or 8 players. And don't forget Michael Harrington the rookie defender at KC who you could get for the minimum price even thought he started just about every game in the midfield. But according to the rules, the salaries will be reset every Monday morning. Yay!
