  1. Will do my best to keep it from sounding too slanted. ;D if it's slanted in the right direction, i won't complain...
  2. can't make the game tonight, so i'm looking forward to hearing your commentorial stylings, mike
  3. I do believe that is how it went down. He had put it originally on the Silsbee side then over corrected it on the Jasper side. When Silsbee hit the three to go up 21-18, the scoreboard showed 21-21. That's when Stubblefield hit his three and they just left the score remain as is. from the stands, that was how i thought it happened. i tried to explain it to a couple of jasper fans to me, but they weren't having it
  4. so if HJ can limit Spikes and Bailey from the outside, they have a great chance. Force them to drive, and make them shoot over Ricossa (he can't be reaching or leaning in drawing fouls), with Burrell coming from the help-side to swat a few away. Besides those two players, Jasper might have some key contributions, but nobody on the team can beat HJ single-handedly. On offense, HJ should look to pound the ball in low to Ricossa, and continue driving the lane with Burrell, Gustafson, and Benard. Jasper is not bad down low, but they are weaker there than in their guard play, and if you can get their starting big men in foul trouble, MAJOR advantage HJ. This is a good matchup for Burrell, and he should be able to drive on these guys all night long. If Jarvis decides he just wants to trade threes with Kwame and Dom, he's going to most likely lose that battle. As an aside, Jasper appeared to struggle when Silsbee pressed, so if HJ keeps the press up, it could be the difference between a win and a loss. If either Bailey or Spikes goes to the bench, Jasper will be in SERIOUS trouble, as nobody else showed me they could dribble out of the press for the bulldogs.
  5. i didn't know enough about ya'll to give you enough credit to beat silsbee. after watching the first quarter last night, i didn't have any doubt that ya'll had a shot at winning. congrats on a HUGE win for your program.
  6. I am glad I am wrong but just had that hunch. I have said all along that no one wants to play Jasper...........I was right.......now my team is playing them and I dont want to play them > > > > P.S. My broadcasting standards are very low...................with that said I think your great!!!!! :-* :-* aaawwww.... hugs n kisses!
  7. i was impressed hard to blame the boys for being excited.
  8. gonna keep my reverse jinx going. Jasper by 5.
  9. GREAT game for Jasper. Congrats on a great season for Silsbee. I bit my nails all through this one!
  10. great game to watch! the hawks did just enough to win, so what more can we ask for???
  11. Yates is a monster, but Livingston is playing great ball right now, and peaking at the right time. i don't think Livingston has much of a chance to win, but i think they keep it under 20, and lose 84-65.
  12. bullets13 will be there, and i'll be happy to SUPERVISE while you carry in your broadcast equipment.
  13. i'll be there tonight. not sure if my buddy is gonna want to stick around for the second game, but i'm hoping to convince him!
  14. i agree, Trey was getting pounded, but... if they aren't calling the contact, quit trying to force the ball in and trying to draw it. gustafson and benard also missed layups where it appeared they were fouled, but the refs are a lot more likely to call it if the player making the drive is under control, and not careening wildly through the lane.
  15. If HJ can reduce the number of wild drives that they make into double and triple teams, i like there chances against pretty much anyone. gustafson, burrell, and benard all played big roles in the hawks win last night, but they still probably missed fifteen wild, flailing layups between them. when they make an extra pass or two, as they also did about fifteen times last night, they pick defenses apart and get wide open layups instead of stumbling double pump reverses.
  16. OU NC Pitt Michigan State Cinderella Team: Mizzou
  17. I hate you. easy!!! i have no dogs in this fight. good luck to both teams
  18. Their starting lineup is '6"3, '6"5, '6"5, '6"8 and '6"11. Good Luck! ;D liar... their PG is 6'2'', and their 3-guard is only 6'4". you nailed the other three, though.
