1. I wonder how this theory plays out across other sports such as basketball, soccer, baseball, and girls sports like volleyball, girls basketball, and softball. If this were correct wouldn't the curve of multiple state championships play out across other sports outside of football?
 2.
Sounds like a great guy
I agree, said he was coming from a sales background so he should be able to get people to buy into his system. I wonder what he will be like on the court though. May be a complete opposite of Coach Jacks.
 3. I just met Coach Smith a few minutes ago. Didn't get to talk much basketball or anything but he is a pretty nice guy. Said he has a good foundation to build on and is looking forward to a good year with the girls.

I just remember behind highly impressed by their game beyond the arc. The older of the two is nationally ranked for the threes.

With a good coach, Lumberton  might make some noise in the coming years. They already have a step up for this year.
Did you get lost Dove? For one this is the girls thread and another this this has nothing to do with Ozen.  ;D
Nah, I totally understand where she is coming from with this and support her commitment to her dad. I never met the man and have never seen the Jacks play. But I think I'll make an effort this season to see them play. ;)
He's a pretty good guy; eccentric when it comes to coaching but pretty nice and down to earth outside of the gym and I'm with Ms. Jacks here. He took a better job outside of the school year and with the way some people were acting, going back could have called more issues then it was worth. Let me know when you want to come see a game an ill save you a seat. His daughters could teach your boys how to shoot like a pro 😜.
I'm going to take you up on that offer ;) I heard about those Jacks girls. I respect for what I hear about them because I know they have respect for the game, while others just "play" the game. Big difference!!!
You will be impressed; they can jack it up (no pun intended) from just about anywhere past half court. They are scary to play against.

 9. This is beginning to sound like Dwight Howard leaving the lakers to come to Houston  ;) I can see both sides of the argument; on one hand you have people who are upset because they just lost the best coach in their programs history to a rival school. It didn't help that it was a here one day gone the next type of situation but on the other hand I completely agree with Jacks. My loyalty lies with the best offer. Lumberton will have more to offer in the long run; an undefeated incoming freshman class, an established D1 caliber player who is only a JR to complement his daughters plus other young players with experience and talent, an established little league program which will feed into the high school program for years to come. You have to do what's best for you and your family. (Also on a side note the average time spent with one particular job for a man is 3 years). Just food for thought.
 10. I don't know the details but I asked a friend of Haynes about coaches before Wuller was released and they said Haynes had no plans to do any firing or hiring until next year. Something to think about because a week later coach Goad moves to the counseling office and Wuller is released.
 11. So am I allowed to ask who Coach Smith is?
 12. Its good to have a coach who not only can coach but has two daughters who can play. Lumberton has always had the talent, just seriously lacked decent coaching.
 13. Exactly, you learn to dribble through and around it 😁 i will refrain from saying anything about some opponents HJ plays but nevertheless it prepares them.
 14. I ran cross country at HJ (didnt play basketball; just liked running) You people have no idea how hard it is to run three miles dribbling two basketballs at once.  ;D
 15. I can't remember the coaches name they hired but she was an assistant at Kelly 3 years ago. Hasn't coached since then... Once again Lumberton shooting the program in the foot. They turned down a coach from Dallas who has a 70+ win percentage.
