Wonder where Coop will have HJ in his end of the regular season poll.........I just realized today that he had WOS ranked ahead of HJ. ::) ::) Now the Hawks have beaten #2 Kountze twice, split with #1 Silsbee and split with #3 WOS!!!!!! ;) ;) ;)
at least top 5... ;D
Fall 2011, you will see improvement. Thats because HF will have a mixture of players that will compliment their talents. It's going to be up to the coach to define the individual roles of these players. But a fun task for the coach I will have to admit. Stop living in the past and look to the future. On top of this, I have never been associated with a losing program since I became involved with organized basketball in the 6th grade. I don' intend starting now. ;)
good luck with that. i'm looking forward to meeting you out in sour lake next year :)

I like the Hawk's odds of going 3 or 4 games deep. They're going to have to beat some very good teams to get there, though.
HF will run those big men with the speed and quickness coming up in 2011. ;)
yeah, yeah. you know HJ will have 3 guards to go with their big men to slow HF down.

i will say this... EFCU just tried to jack us up when we wanted to refinance our new car. they wanted us to add ten more months of payments to the older car we had, and increase the cost of the payment of our new car, and somehow this was supposed to save us 30 bucks a month? what good is 30 bucks a month if we're going to be paying 400 a month for an extra 10 months on our old car, and then be left with a car payment on the new car that is higher than it originally was after we financed through the dealership. don't know if that made sense or not... it sure as shit didn't make sense to me when they tried to get us to do it. -
anyone got HJ/Jasper?
Bryan Rudder has elected to go as the #2 seed out of that district instead of playing it off with Navasota. The word is that they feel they have a better chance going up against Silsbee than going the other route. Same with Navasota. They were fine with Rudder giving up the #1 seed because they would rather play HJ. I believe both those teams are in for a rude awakening. ;)
if they really feel this way, their coaching staff isn't too bright. i love my hawks, but i'd choose playing them over the matchup horror show that silsbee presents ANY day of the week.
The H-J freshman post is 6"6" ,230 lbs and still only 14 years old. Pershon is a sophmore and he is 6'4" with and probably about 210.
pershon moves well for his size. the freshman needs some work, but at his age, he's got plenty of time. both of these guys should cause opponents fits down low next year.
We should be pretty good but I think overall HJ has more coming up especially size wise.
y'all have more staying, though. should be some more great games next year.
That is a little bigger difference in foul numbers than I thought still don't think it was unfair.
gotta factor in the fouls down the stretch by the tigers to intentionally put the hawks on the line... that made the difference look a lot worse than it actually was.
it comes back to the question why is it always a ref. problem at hj
this was the 5th game i've been to at HJ this season, and it was the only one i had a problem with. usually, people gripe because HJ gets "home cooking", which is actually code for their team not being able to handle HJ's physical press. tonight was an entirely different issue, as it was quite possibly the most poorly officiated game i've ever seen outside of a little dribblers primary game, and it was equally bad both ways.
