losing by 30 (or 60) in a warmup game gong into playoffs would be counter-productive.  if you can't get a game against a team that you can actually work on things against (besides the press break, of course), it's not really preparing your team at all.

[/quote]I stand corrected ;) [/quote] hehe.  i've seen them play a couple of times, and they're pretty scary :)  the most frightening things about them are their size, athleticism, and balance.  they have 4 or 5 guys that can carry them on any night, but they usually get a good effort from 6 or 7 guys.  if they play the way they're capable, Rudder's going to wish they had flipped a coin.  If they don't play that well, it may be a close game, but i still don't see them losing.  They're going to crush Rudder on the glass, and Rudder could shoot 50% from deep and still lose by 15.

It will be much tougher this year.  HJ has had another great year, and they've had some guys step up big time to fill the shoes of Jarvis and Trey.  That being said, I don't think HJ is quite as good as they were last year.  Still, they've proven they can beat any team in the state again this year.  I don't know much about Navasota, but i think Cleveland will be more difficult this year, and last year HJ barely squeaked by them on the back of Benard.  HJ is more than capable of making it back to regionals, but as difficult as it was last year, it's going to be even harder this year.  good luck boys!

i think this game will benefit both teams the most if Silsbee wins.  Silsbee doesn't want to go to the playoffs on a two game losing streak, and i honestly think Kountze could use a loss to refocus before they enter the playoffs.  hopefully this game will prepare both of them for deep runs into the playoffs.

i may not make it monday.  my cousin is having a birthday dinner.  i'm gonna try to get out of it, though.
