crap.  Elvis screwed up.  not good.  and if feliz comes in, he's usually really wild against his first batter.

we haven't had many bucks on our property last year or this year.  we have a lot of does, though.  or neighboring lease has been getting lots of pictures of bucks.  when the rut starts, we should see some activity.

I can kind of believe that he called down to the bullpen and asked for Rzepczynski and Motte and the coach down there only heard him say Rzepczynski.  But I seriously doubt that after this mixup, he called BACK down to the pen and asked for Motte again, and the coach misheard him and started warming up Lynne.  Honestly, if you're in the bullpen, and the manager asks for someone to be warmed up and you screw it up, do you honestly think there's any way that it's going to happen again.  the manager is going to call back and include so much profanity and screaming that there will be NO question who he wants warming up.  It sure seems to me like LaRussa is trying to blame his poor management of the bullpen on loud fans.  Maybe once, but surely not twice in 5 minutes.

this thread made me go check... couldn't believe that this was lamar's 1st conference loss... great to see them at 4-1 in conference and 7-5-1 overall.  they've come a long way!

Rangers bullpen goes 8.1 innings, 4 hits, 2 walks, 8 Ks, no ER.  that gives them 13 innings in the series, 16 Ks, 2 walks, 5 hits, 0 ER so far.  the bullpen and nelson cruz are carrying this team on their back so far!

what a win for the rangers!

CJ looked great until the rain delay.  gave up a couple of runs in the 5 minutes between the two delays.  the bullpen for the rangers was amazing.  8 strikeouts, 0 walks, and 1 bunt single given up in 4 2/3 innings.  fantastic win for the rangers to get off of verlander.  they should have the advantage in every other starting pitching matchup, so to get that one was huge.

caught a cooler full of specks and nice sandies in about 3 hours last weekend on Taylor's.  My buddy went out the next day and caught 3 fish.

I'll say this... nobody in either league is playing better baseball right now than the rangers... winning 14 of 16 heading into the playoffs does a lot for your confidence.  they have an incredibly solid pitching staff, and possibly the most balanced offense in the league.  that being said, the rays are either going to be sky high after their amazing comeback(s) or emotionally drained.  they may be able to ride their momentum of the last week, even though boston gave it to them more than they actually earned it.
