i shot a hog during bow season, and a doe and a hog during gun season.  saw a couple of nice bucks, but couldn't get a shot off.  making one last ditch effort at my buddy's lease with black powder saturday morning.

HJ fans might also want to get their vaccinations updated before they head out that way.

giving some thought to making an appearance.

This year, HJ has to be the favorite in both matchups.  they have the size advantage, and they are as quick or very close to as quick as silsbee.  that being said, just as in every year, the favorite usually loses a game in this series.  i'd love to see HJ take both this year, but i won't be surprised if Silsbee beats them at least once.

i play soccer with the WB girls coach, so i'll email him tomorrow and see if i can get it.  I also work with a woman who's daughter plays for HJ girls, so i'll see what i can do.

when a defender, especially one who outweighs his opponents by 100 or more pounds, is putting his whole body into "blocking" the ball, but keeps missing the ball and hitting the player full force and knocking them to the floor, he needs to be removed from the game (by both the coach AND the refs).  the majority of these fouls were flagrant, and they looked more intentional than just him being fat and clumsy.

He hit her with a basketball.  Big deal.  He went and apologized.  He should be disciplined by the league, but not sent to jail.  The ref is after money.
