Week 1 Texan Live broadcasts of coverage area games
bullets13 replied to AggiesAreWe's topic in High School Football
Definitely watching Carthage/Crosby tonight! -
Anyone who's dealt with Reagan/Smitty over the years knows about the quality of his sources, and his ability to post absolute statements while ignoring the evidence from his own fake sources. Gotta love an expert medical piece from Breitbart, sighting a study by the experts from the university of waterloo... and it still doesn't even agree with the point he's making... in this case, from the article: Serhiy Yarusevych, one of the study’s authors, said there is “no question it is beneficial to wear any face covering, both for protection in close proximity and at a distance in a room,”

HJ looked pretty awful in a couple of scrimmages from what I heard. I expect coldspring to win comfortably.
-
They're good. 10-3 last year, went four rounds deep in 3A last year. Halletsville knocked them out by two points in the regional finals, and went on to lose the state championship by an extra point in OT.

Lumberton was probably gonna beat Waltrip. They aren't beating columbus.

BISD Employee/Vidor Resident Charged with Possession

Can you imagine what a car with 14 lbs of weed smells like? I had a single joint hidden in my room in high school and my mom found it because she smelled it when she walked into my room. -

Gonna be hard to argue that it was for personal use… -
Yup, another 14K no hitter this evening.

Which issue has stymied the trust in Science the most
bullets13 replied to Englebert's topic in Political Forum
Let me rephrase: for most of the world's scientists and healthcare workers it came out of nowhere. I'm open to the idea that the virus came out of a lab, OR that it came out of a meat market. It DEFINITELY came out of China, and they definitely covered it up for long enough that it spread around the world. -
Which issue has stymied the trust in Science the most
bullets13 replied to Englebert's topic in Political Forum
I think a good bit of the Covid misinformation has stemmed from trying to solve an immediate problem that basically came out of nowhere. Because of the circumstances, advice and guidelines have been constantly changed as time has gone on as a result of new information and data that we simply didn’t have a few months before. There’s also been a tremendous amount of politicization of the issue, which has led to tons of misinformation from people who really have no idea what they’re talking about, but instead are regurgitating what other people, who also don’t know what they’re talking about, are telling them on social media. -
Top 10 best coaches in Setx??
bullets13 replied to Indians4life's topic in High School Boys Basketball
I don't know that it's fair to say this, although I will say i'm fairly confident Davis would've done similar things to what Sigler did if he had the sort of talent silsbee has had the last 7-8 years. For quite awhile Sig just had to manage personalities and stay out of the way, but I was very impressed with the job he did this past season. -

metroplex basketball is a joke. i've seen more team loyalty at pickup games in the park. -
FDA grants Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine full approval
bullets13 replied to LumRaiderFan's topic in Political Forum
Honestly not sure what it means. But I know a lot of people who claim not to trust the government, while at the same time claim not to trust the vaccine because it wasn’t approved by the government (FDA). I never really understood the logic, but I hope that if this was the only thing holding some people back that they are now encouraged to get the shot. -
Personally I think it's insane that one guy with no medical background can make an order that goes against the statements and advice of the overwhelming majority of doctors, hospitals, medical experts, epidemiologists, etc.

This kid from South Dakota is unreal. In his 7 starts in the playoffs (districts, state, regionals, and LLWS), he's pitched 37.2 innings, and thrown 526 pitches. He's allowed 1 hit, 0 runs, and struck out 100 batters. 37.2 innings means he's retired 113 batters in that time. So including the hit, a grand total of 14 batters have been able to put the ball in play against him.

I'd like to see some bloodwork or a breathalyzer. If she's innocent, she wouldn't be the first person who failed a sobriety test for reasons other than inebriation, like the example you gave. But there are also plenty of closet drinkers out there who hide their alcoholism and drinking from those closest to them. Perhaps this could be the case with her as well.

I don't think it's really an assumption of guilt as much as a lack of interest. Where had this been Al Sharpton's wife, and had Sharpton been screaming the same nonsense that West was, there would be a movement of support for her and claims of racism by the media and other activists. But I do agree with you for the most part.

when you're looking for a "reasonable response" from the right, hippy is one of the guys you usually go to. I'm another. Hippy has a point here that I happen to agree with. The media absolutely would've reported this differently if it hadn't been Allen West's wife, but instead an African American democrat's wife.

Unfortunately we’re seeing quite a few breakthrough cases. For the most part the vaccine is at least still protecting people from serious infection, but there are some outliers like your friend and Wosgrad. I was concerned when Todd got sick because he had about as bad of risk factors as you can get.

TX Cares Antibody study (natural vs vaccination)
bullets13 replied to Steven Avery's topic in Local Headlines
Where is this located? I’ve been vaccinated and also had 5 or 6 close exposures over the course of the pandemic, but so far no infection, at least with symptoms. I’d love to find out I have some natural antibodies.
