Horns are going to be really good this year as well.

If Trump wins the nomination then democrats will win the election, regardless of who they trot out, just like in the last election. I'm praying that DeSantis runs and the Trump brigade realizes that DeSantis is Trump without the God complex and more conservative policy. Yes the media has destroyed Trump over the past six years, and yes they've unfairly portrayed Biden in a different way. That said, all the media had to do to destroy Trump is report the things he did and said. Anyone watching the way he acted generally developed a well-founded dislike of the guy, even folks like myself who will vote for him next election as well if he wins the nomination. I hope it doesn't come to that, and that the powers on the right will convince him to back out (unlikely since he thinks he's the king of all), or that he somehow loses the primary (I don't see this happening unless DeSantis runs, and then it's still a toss-up).

I voted for Trump twice. If he secures the nomination this goround, I'll be (grudgingly) voting for him again. I don't have TDS. I've stated many times on here that I thought he did a decent job as president. But I don't like him, and he's destroying the republican party to the advantage of the left, and yes, that bothers me a lot. When Kari Lake was dumb enough to publicly say that she didn't want any "McCain Republicans" at her rallies, I wrote her off. Apparently so did a lot of the McCain republicans. You can't really protect some people from themselves, I guess. It's just shocking to me that she insulted the most popular Arizona politician of the last several generations and his supporters, WHO'S VOTES SHE NEEDED TO WIN, and then she somehow lost. But we all know the election was really stolen from her, I saw it on twitter.

It's the easiest fix in the world! Quit nominating buffoons. That's literally all it takes. When a moderate feels the left is too far left, and the right is too far right, you know what a great tiebreaker is?? Likability. Again a post from you that places all the blame on everyone but the republicans, while complaining about how terrible the left is. Which makes MY point from earlier: there's a prevalent attitude amongst certain conservatives that appear much more content to refuse change and gripe about how dumb and terrible the left is than to demand change from their own party to secure victories.

Yes, clearly. In areas where it's 50/50 or close to it, that is literally all it takes when nearly 70% of the country isn't happy with how things are going under the current president. It's hard for me to even wrap my head around how badly the republicans screwed these midterms up, and how some people still defend them and blame it all on the left somehow. One only has to look at how likeable republican candidates in those areas have performed vs. unlikeable candidates. Georgia elected a very conservative, but likeable, republican governor by an 8% margin. Herschel Walker is going to a runoff with an opponent that should've been easy to defeat. Arizona elected a likeable republican governor by FIFTEEN points in 2018, but chose not to vote for Donaldina Trump in 2022. Voters in Pennsylvania chose to elect someone with a traumatic brain injury over Trump's TV Doctor buddy. These midterms were littered with instances like these, and unfortunately nearly all of them went against the right.

whatever it takes to keep republicans in office. clearly what the right is trying currently isn't working well. a great start, without giving up any ground at all, would be to provide electable candidates. You guys continue to say over and over "feelings over policy", and the "idiots in the middle voted wrong" without acknowledging the right's shortcomings. It's now well-established that subpar candidates running on the "the election was stolen" and "insult everyone who doesn't agree with us" platforms do not perform well, yet the right continues with the same old nonsense: how could those idiots not pick our person with no experience who's peddling conspiracy theories and being a jerk? Anytime someone points out that the republican candidates are garbage in many cases, it's all excuses and justifications. According to you guys the left is ridiculous for voting for Fetterman, but we ran a TV doctor against him. Our ex-republican, ex-democrat, current-republican news anchor candidate who tries to be just like donald lost, and things don't look good for our bumbling football player who's anti-abortion (when he's not paying for them), and can barely string two sentences together. I just can't believe things didn't turn out better for these sparkling candidates. And now here comes Trump again, who's got considerably less support than he did when he lost the last election. But it'll be someone else's fault when he loses the election, no doubt.

I know. I see it over and over. The absolute refusal the give any ground at all to the detriment of the party and the country, all the while complaining about how good things used to be, while also steadfastly denying that the party did any of those bad things that used to happen in the good old days. It's laughable. The democrats today are insane, but the old school republicans are bitter and delusional.

Not going to take long at all if the right doesn’t put forth candidates that people want to vote for. Candidates that the most conservative 20% of the country are pumped up about aren’t going to work. That said, Desantis is more conservative than trump, but isn’t a giant windbag, and is doing fantastic in Florida, which has an awful lot of democrats in it.

Arizona has 9 representatives in the house. Previously they had 5 republicans and 4 democrats, but the republicans flipped a seat this midterm, and it is now 6 republicans and 3 democrats. Arizona has had a republican governor for the last 16 years, and still would if not for term limits in the state. But yeah, it's all Arizona's fault for just being so dang liberal, and totally has nothing to do with a terrible candidate running an idiotic campaign in which she completely emulated Trump's egotistical rants and insults in an effort to win favor with him. She got his endorsement, but the cost of doing so is now abundantly clear. But lets just place all the place on those stupid voters.

Not mad that he moved OR that he's committed to Texas -
I guess we're all apologizing for someone. You guys just do it for the candidates who act intolerably, insult the people they need to vote for them in order to win, and then whine, complain, and scream conspiracy theories when it doesn't work out for them. You've made this point multiple times to me, trying to place all of the blame on voters. If I was there, I would've voted for the fool, no matter how obnoxious and inexperienced she was. But that doesn't change the fact that SHE is the one that behaved in a way that cost her the election. The idea that all of the blame belongs to swing voters who don't vote for someone who comes across as completely unlikeable, and even worse, talks and acts like the Donald, is absurd. Not everyone is a staunch conservative. In fact, our country is about as 50/50 as it gets. So the right's continual "our way is the only way, and anyone who doesn't agree is just dumb, and completely at fault for voting wrong" argument simply doesn't hold water. The right has to win the moderate vote in order to be successful on a national level. This is not happening currently, and it's a major problem.

One would think it would be helpful for the D to be able to concentrate more on the run. Silsbee was a duel threat offense. We'll see how this one plays out. -
she's the literal definition of a RINO. Did things exactly the way trump does, and can't believe it that she lost the election in a state that hasn't elected a democrat in 5 cycles. I did i say reasonable? I meant real. Or maybe just one who doesn't come off as a egocentric nutjob. But hey, she's just following Trump's blueprint, right?

They've played pretty similar schedules. Both lost badly to the only truly great team on their schedule, both have a win or two against good competition, a close game or two that shouldn't have been close, and a bunch of blowouts against cupcakes. It's hard to judge anything until they face each other.
-
their numbers are skewed, but both of those teams are better than PNG. One of them is a LOT better than PNG. Those two teams are also better than PAM, who beat the brakes off the indians early in the year. I won't be shocked if the indians win, but while your assessment of LBJ's district schedule is correct, your assessment of the games they played pre district is not.

beat me to it. Imagine creating an event for white men called "Tired of lesbian black women?" -
LBJ in a weak district, but have outscored their last 6 opponents (including a 7-3 team in the playoffs) 455-0. averaged 76 points a game in that span. they clearly have a few offensive weapons. They lost to a couple of teams early in the year, but both teams are better than PNG, so... I'll take LBJ
