  1. I believe Huffman has it essentially locked up, despite the loss to EC. The bucs tied several games and it allowed to Huffman to win the district. EC would need HF to get a result against HH in the final district game. That’s pretty unlikely, considering Huffman is 16-6-1 and HF is 0-17-1. If maxpreps is correct, EC may have just lost to Liberty, which is a pretty big upset
  2. From the article it sounds like the investigation of use of deadly force is routine. Hopefully that is all in this case
  3. I’ve never met coach Green, but really enjoyed watching his post game interview. It’s obvious how much he cares for his players.
  4. Fantastic season for United! That’s an incredible achievement to move up to 6A and make it to the state championship. Hard to not feel like BU had a real chance to win this one. Their execution and shooting in the 2nd half killed them. That said, LH got away with at least three goaltends, and I can’t ever remember a game where every single close block/charge call went the way of one team, but it was that way tonight, on close to ten calls.
  5. Shot selection was poor. Forcing stuff trying to put the team on his back. Understandable, though.
  6. BU has gotten the short end on literally EVERY single one of these calls on both ends
  7. BU had an opportunity to be up 12-14 midway through the 3rd. So many turnovers, missed layups, and missed free throws
  8. Two of his blocks were blatant goaltends. Those 4 points would be HUGE right now
  9. Heart says BU, head says LH. Hope I’m wrong. LH 60, BU 52
  10. Lake highlands is good. Gonna be a tough test for BU
  11. Stupidity at it's finest, and his family is feeding into it, claiming the police "murdered" him. He was a moron, and brought upon himself completely reasonable and justifiable force.
  12. Hooks must have had an easy run or a major upset or two to get this far. hitchcock is good, though.
  13. yeah, found some interesting stuff on the google about it. Lots of drama over in strawn, and with this move. Strawn went 15-0 and won a state football championship with him as the qb as a freshman last year, and then 4-6 without him this year, with Benjamin going 15-0 and winning a championship this year after a first round exit last year.
  14. only a sophomore. Looks like he was at Strawn last year? Not surprised he moved, but would've thought he might have moved to a bigger school.
  15. While we’re addressing that, why not also address school districts like Houston (196k students) and Dallas (154k students) being allowed to participate in 3A, 4A, and 5A playoffs due to school size, while pulling talent to those teams from all across the city. For the most part not a big deal in football, but the basketball playoffs are a joke in 4A and 5A. The success Silsbee (2700 students in the district) has managed playing in what has become a big school tournament has been nothing short of extraordinary.
  16. more like ignorant coaches. kids today are soft, no argument there, but putting them in the hospital isn't how you fix it. if a coach makes kids do work that they physically are incapable of doing and badly hurts them, that's on the coach, not the kid or parent. it's the coach's responsibility to build up the child's ability to do the work. Of course, these coaches seem to understand that concept just fine until they're mad and want to punish the kids for something. That was the case here, and also at Hamshire-Fannett a few years ago. The coaches get pissed, and then all of a sudden they forget that it's their responsibility to keep their athletes safe. Work them to the point of hospitalization, then play dumb and act like they didn't do anything wrong. Your reference to North Shore doesn't really work, because North Shore isn't putting their players in the hospital. If they did, there would be plenty of complaints. That said, it's not an issue. while those coaches work their players very hard, they do it responsibly, unlike the coach here from Rockwall Heath.
  17. Walmart closing ALL Portland stores after historic theft rise (msn.com) Absolutely love this. These ultra-woke cesspools are starting to feel some consequences for their actions. Rising crime has bothered a lot of them, but businesses shuttering and moving away will hurt just as bad, if not worse.
  18. There may have been another thread on this, but i didn't see it. Usually with these kinds of stories I assume that it's being overinflated by folks on the other side of the aisle, whether it be a dem or a rep. That said, AOC violated some important congressional laws here, and there's plenty of evidence to back it up. Will anything happen? Probably not. Both sides get away with stuff just as bad all the time. But it would be nice to see her face some repercussions.
  19. AOC's lawyer warned she was NOT allowed to accept her $35,000 Met Gala ticket from Vogue (msn.com)
