@AggiesAreWe I know you watched these guys play multiple games and I’m curious your opinion on the matter… as previously stated I to agree Wrinkle may have more of a claim over ghost as far as district MVP.

Yeah I agree… I kinda did a double take when I saw the score.. 

Thats my point… in what world is a D1 prospect not starting somewhere in a 3A D1 team … doesn’t have to play QB

Trust me he's D1 talent. I seen it his 7th grade year but he was just raw. He's worked with some trainers to refine his skills since then and is developing fast 

If he can stick around long enough, I hear Buna has a pretty good group of 3rd graders coming up.

A loss is a loss. Both Jasper and Silsbee lost to Bellville. You could’ve just as easily replied “Check with Jasper” in your first post. 

Heck of a season, but ran into a buzz saw.  A buzz saw that will unfortunately have most of its teeth coming back next season. 

Good times good times lol… you know there was once the thought that there was no way Bellville could replicate the speed they would see on the field heading into that game?

After watching them in person last night I didn’t think they were as good as advertised as a whole. We were supposed to get blown out and sure we lost by 21 but we had our absolute worst game of the year from a shooting stand point and you might say it was because of the defense but really it wasn’t. We missed wide open 3’s time and time again. And just like I suspected they shot 12 more free throws than we did thanks to one particular ref. 
 
All that being said, as long as #5 came from Kountze the rest of the kids really don’t matter. Sure some kids had a few rebounds and put backs and made a few buckets here and there. But that’s stuff any halfway talented big can do. #5 was by far the best player on the court for either team and they will go as far as he can take them. Very impressed with how savvy he was with the basketball. That kid is the catalyst for that team and much props to him.

I believe one can safely say that 4A Region III in the last 20 seasons runs thru Silsbee.

Winning third round playoff games by 20+ and still complaining.  Boo hoo 😉
