He wasn't a bad player but he wasn't in the same league as the players on this list.He would make a big difference in this years club if he was healthy.

There isn't a player on the EC squad that would even get on the floor with that group.Thomas,Joseph,Guillory and McDonald were legitamate state contenders who had the misfortune of being in the same district with the best team in the state.Please don't make those comparisons,Tramain was the type player who could neutralize the press by himself.

Kountze is just 25 points better than everyone else in this district this year.Hats off to EC because Anahuac is always a tough place to play.Just curious did the panthers lose any players to grades ?? I didn't see them losing this one at home.I gotta disagree with Eagle2010,I think Woodville would have to play one of ther better games to beat several of the teams in 23aa.

Lmao lmao Lmao [/quote]That would have been my quote there swag and I'll stand by it.No disrespect intended to the HJ club but when you watch these teams whether it be Silsbee or Kountze you immediately get the impression that HJ shouldn't be in the same category.But they cosistantly play at the same level with these top notch programs.That's a direct reflection on the coaching staff.Don't sleep on the Hawks,they will be fine as long as Ricossa keeps coming back from the knee.I thought his season was over when he went down and he still isn't back to where he was before he was hurt.

I usually don't make the JV games but last night I knew I would have to get there early or park in Evadale, which I had to do anyway.

I thought #32 for the Tigers was the differnce in the ball game.Every time the Hawks would start a little run he would come up huge.Rebounding and free throw shooting spelled the difference tonight.

They probably didn't forget how to coach at Central or New Waverly.When you deal with 17 and 18 year old kids you're never gonna win em all.The really good coaches will take their 5 and beat you.They can also take you're 5 and beat you.That's what they have in common,they win wherever they go.

Contrary to popular belief the football coach can't make the rules up in a varsity baskeball game.It's not fair to the bench players who have worked their butt off and may not get another opportunity to play this year.The official should have directed the time keeper to put the time back on the clock.

They won't get a test until they get a couple of rounds deep.That may hurt them because they haven't done well in close ballgames.

The fact that some folks think this game is going to be close is an indication of how far Coach Wilkins has brought this program.They won't win at Spurger but they have came a long way from where they were last year.

When you roll a ball out in a summer league game athletisism usually wins.When you add coaches it's all about matchups and adjustments.It's no coincidence that HJ repeatedly comes back from 10 point Kountze runs or 18 point WOS runs.Come on folks look at the bench if you want the answers.The HJ staff gets more out of their clubs than any I've ever seen.This will be a close ball game with the club that hits their free throws winning it.I bet both staffs (which are good) knew who that would be.

Young lady was a very good player and has those girls believing in themselves.Her and her brother down the road have done an outstanding job of turning 2 programs around.

I give Spurger a huge advantage at the point,post and the shooters spot.Evadale won't get the turnovers on the press and I don't think 14 is considered close.That sounds about right though.I'll go: Spurger=68 Evadale=54

If a player or coach gave an official the bird they should have been ejected immediately,no questions asked.And I agree BucFan there is a whole lot more to basketball than points and 10 pts and 8 boards is a good game as TrueBlue states.All that being said I wouldn't consider it a huge game.I have always had a ton of respect for the EC program,Coach Andrews and Hank both did a great job down there for years. EC sealed the 3rd playoff spot last night but lets not make this anymore than it is.

I missed this one but it wasn't the only one I missed tonite.Not gonna enjoy looking at my picks tonite.I sure didn't think EC would cover but I thought Hardin would score more than 27,that's not good.
