I got to watch Coach Brooks when my son was coaching the JV at Hardin Jefferson. A true ambassador for the game of basketball. Congratulations Coach Brooks, job well done

I went and watched them last week for the first time in several years and was pleasantly surprised. They played pretty well, seemed to be very disciplined. Good to see!!

You bet. I used to practically live in the Warren gym, first time in there in several years for me. Not sure who the coach is up there now but he looked like he has em headed in the right direction .

Fun game to watch tonight in Warren. Both clubs turned it over a little bit too much. Kirbyville got in foul trouble late and it hurt em. They still had a chance to send it to OT coming out of a timeout with 6 seconds remaining but missed a short runner in the lane. If these clubs play 10 times they'll probably go 5-5. Pretty good crowd, pretty well officiated. Congrats Warren on the win.

If you drive through Warren you won't see many houses at all. Warrens population is 99.9% rural. Again these folks have chosen over the years to develop an Ag program. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that but it doesn't help the athletic programs succeed. Warren has had some tremendous coaches over the years, that's not the problem.

If you look to the South the Kountze school district won some state championships last year in basketball. Look to the north and Woodville was in the state football championship. The biggest common denominator between these two are large housing complex's. Warren has none, these rural folks put their heart and soul into their Ag program. Not that there's anything wrong with that but it's the difference between winning and losing athletics programs.
