They will win the district again but won't be anywhere near as strong as they are this year.McDaniel is a pretty solid player but he isn't the dominant player some folks on here make him out to be.The little shooter and the freshman that got some minutes at the Montagne Saturday along with McDaniel will be a good start on a title.

The Tigers should win the battle on the boards.The game will come down to limiting turnovers, hitting free throws and getting back to defend the break. If they do that they will be OK.

This had to be a tough game to get up for.The Sharks found out late the game had been rescheduled and they had played a warm up game Saturday.I'm sure they had planned on putting in a few things today.Thats a tough way to to end a season for a senior club.

You should take a trip to Big Sandy next year during basketball season.Silsbee plays in their tournament every year as well as New Waverly and sometimes Kountze.Foster is the coach over there and he knows the game as well as alot of the big dogs and better than some of them.

Lovie Smith is from Big Sandy (just a different Big Sandy than the local one)The local Big Sandy is in Dallardsville just outside of Livingston.They have a very deep tradition in basketball but they were down this year.

It was Brooks Ybarra from Barbers Hill.He signed with LU but I don't think he is with the club this year.

You're right on about Silsbee going down low to DC Stallworth.It's Warren,you can put me anywhere but Woodville  ;D I was giving Mike a hard time about the Tigers I know he's listening.

Ya'll gave me a hard time when I said the local powers would have to cut down on turnovers to be successful in the playoffs.I gotta add 2 more things to the list that the Tigers have to do better if they want to get out of the region.They have to shoot better from the line and they have to get back in transition defense.They have a club in Rudder that loves to run and they got lazy Saturday on the break.

The Lamar Lady Cardinals are very lucky to have Larry Tidwell.You want to talk about turning a program around he has done a masterful job in a short period of time.He has a constant presence at the local schools around the area and is a super recruiter.

That was my point.They are all great high local high school players.There is absolutely nothing wrong with that but it ususually doesn't mean they will be D-1 signees.

I don't know if the Anahuac/Woodville game will be close or not.If the Newton club I saw Saturday is any indication of the strength of the district to the north Anahuac should win handily.

Spurger had a butt load and Newton not many. I think it was 70-46,I didn't write it down.

Better than the last LU game I went to and better basketball to boot.

You are right on the money about Mike, other than being an Aggie he does a super job.The lack of comments about the officiating is a testament to just how good they were.If there is a beter referee than Kevin I haven't seen him yet.

Heck I come sometimes just to watch the hecklers.The deal with the newspaper at the intro is just plain hilarious.It reminds me not to take these things to serious ,it's all in fun and just a game.

[/quote]Get New Waverly in the area round.Feb25-27 that's a tough draw for the Bucs.Anahuac looks to have a much better draw,they should win easily in the first round and then get Woodville in the area round.

Stallworth wasn't held he just wasn't involved in the scheme.Hill did an excellent job of taking the ball to the bucket and drawing fouls early.Later in the game the fouls didn't come and the bigs were out of the flow for the Tigers by then.I think the Tigers and especially Stallworth will bounce back strong.
