Several left wing nut job bloggers tried to make the (impossible) reach that Trump was claiming that the U.S. and Italy had been allies since Ancient Rome. Trump simply asserted correctly that the two countries have a shared political-cultural heritage that dates to Ancient Rome, not that there were actual ties between two actual countries as far back as Ancient Rome. Perhaps a little research would bode you well.

I think we can throw decency and morality out the window for the whole lot - both Left, Right & In Between. And since that can no longer be the barometer, I'm going to choose who I think is best. And it's not Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders, Kamala Harris, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar, Pramila Jayapal - I could keep going, but I think you get the point.
