They're going to put it on an island in Lake Livingston. The only access to the stadium will be by a pedestrian ferry. It will take a while to get to the stadium, but will solve the parking issues of the current situation.

If you then back out the thousands of dollars spent "making the home ready for sale" by painting, landscaping, bringing items up to code, etc, the actual value of the property might have been $165k or so... but now everybody in the neighborhood is paying based on that one dude's sale price of $200k when NONE of the houses on the street are carrying an actual value of more than 165k.

I’m sure there may be some merit to this proposal, but I can see some failures with it too. What if 100 people want to sell their house to the county at the same time? How can the county afford to buy all of them? What will they do with them? Is this socialized realty? Lol.
Call me crazy, but the less dealings I have with the government, the better. Also, being that it was proposed by a politician, a Democrat at that, it couldn’t be a well thought out plan.

All points well taken; however, I would’ve expected at least one win of those listed. Chalk it up to a 2nd year head coach. If I was asked my criticism, it would be the the OC & DC should’ve been better picked, especially since the HC was new. I think the program can be turned around. Will the powers that be allow it? I think yes. Will the community as a whole allow for a learning curve? Not so far. Yep…losing to the 5 A state champs by 6, even though clearly WOS could have won that game, is just one of several instances of proof that all is not lost. I hope this year does not disappoint.
