I had someone suggest that Reyes made that schedule with the likely hood that he wasn't going to be there to have to play it. I didn't believe it but it is an interesting way to look at it.

Basically a playoff game here. Lumberton wins, they claim final playoff spot in 19-4A. A Vidor win along with a win next Tuesday against last place Jasper will give the Pirates the final playoff spot due to their season sweep of Lumberton. Big big game tonight!

First of all they need to win out. They have Hardin tomorrow night and then finish with Warren on Tuesday. They beat both those teams first round of district. Anahuac is playing Buna tomorrow night. An Anahuac win will put Buna at 6-7. Therefore if EC were to win out, they would finish 4th at 8-6. Buna could only finish at best 7-7. Anahuac would be 8-5 with a game left with last place Hardin. Now if Buna wins tomorrow night, it could get interesting. A Buna win along with an EC win has all three (Anahuac, Buna and EC) tied at 7-6. But Buna ends the season next Tuesday against Kountze. With Buna facing Anahuac and Kountze these last two games, I like Anahuac and East Chambers chances of getting the final two spots. But the games still have to be played.
