I don't think anyone was "railroaded". His basketball achievements were not what got him reassigned. The coach did have other responsibilities that he failed to take care of from what I know. Like in many cases, he wasn't there just to coach basketball.

If he is referring to LC-M, Jeffcoat was not fired or reassigned. He resigned.

That simply isn't the case here. Also wasn't entirely his call. Taking orders so to speak.

This could be saying something about the prospects of BC and LC-M basketball. The AD could be playing a factor as well.

I have been told that head coach Randall Robertson has been reassigned. Very curious as to what happened here. Coach Robertson has done very well as head coach. 2nd place finish in district last year which is the highest finish for the Cards in several decades.

Knowing the district that HJ plays in, those kids would stay ineligible for transferring for athletic reasons.

Head Coach Jason Vela is stepping down as head basketball coach after 23 years. Coach Vela will remain at Splendora ISD as head golf coach. Another good one getting out of the basketball business.

Head coach Clay Davis has resigned as head basketball coach at Hardin-Jefferson. Clay will be taking an Assistant Principle position at Splendora ISD so he will be leaving the coaching profession. Clay's wife has been working for Splendora ISD the last two years, commuting back and forth. Totally understand Coach Davis move here. This will be a very interesting hire. Don't expect a promotion. Will definitely be an outside hire. History rich program to a very good school district. Definitely will draw some interest. Good luck Coach on your new job. Hawk Basketball and gym just won't be the same without you. 20 years at HJ. I will miss our talks and watching you coach the game. West Brook had theirs this past Saturday.

Head coach Brad Jeffcoat will be leaving the coaching business. He has taken an industrial sales job. Coach Jeffcoat has really enhanced the basketball program at LC-M. He has done really well. He was 154-112 at LC-M. This is a very good job opening. I expect a promotion to happen here and not an outside hire. On a personal note. I will miss my friend Brad in the gyms. Always enjoyed my time talking with him. Good luck Coach on your new job!!

Silsbee played without one of their star players in Johnson. Was at an AAU tourney in Memphis. Was told Rice and Boulwen dominated inside. Jones did his thing from the perimeter and dishing inside to the bigs.
