  1. There is a new poll out for week 6, this is last week's poll.
  2. I am glad Rebel Yeller is taking our polls so seriously. : IMO, no explanation needed.
  3. I agree Hup. But with only 2:45 left in the game, Jasper with one timeout left, Silsbee on the Jasper 32, 1st and 10, IMO getting yards should not have been the priority. Running the clock should. Even if Silsbee would have netted zero yards in three running plays, they could have at least run off a minute and 1/2 of time before punting the ball and making Jasper use their last timeout. Worst case scenario would have been Jasper starting from their own 20 with 45-55 seconds left in the game. From what I saw from Jasper's offense that night, no way they get down the field in that amount of time with no timeouts left. Like Forest Gump would say, "That's all I got to say about that".
  4. Now Soulja, I picked the Jags to beat Memorial and Galveston Ball to go along with the pick over LCM. That's three out of the five games that they have played. You are just nick picking now. ;D
  5. Jasper should be at least recieving votes. They have the same record as WOS, beat WOS, beat Kirbyville who at the time was #4 in 2A and is still in the top 10. Their only loss is to #1 Gilmer who will most likely go undefeated this year to a state championship. Jasper deserves better from the pollsters.
  6. Yep, bad info. That is my fault. I will correct it.

Also we will pay tribute to the two players of the week for last week. Also we will have a discussion forum in our last segment discussing our poll question for the week and any question or comment that you post here on this thread. We also invite everyone out to Hamburger Depot to come join in the fun and get some of that great food. There's also a chance that you could get some mic time if time permits. Broadcast will start at 6:30pm. Post your questions or comments on this thread for Gabe and I to discuss on the show. Just click the link provided to listen in. [Hidden Content]
  8. Yeah I think they need some more diversity on offense. They showed a few wrinkles against WO-S so I am sure they are putting in more all the time. So Jasper did not run the spread at all against Silsbee? Oh yes they did. Every play in those last two offensive set of series. Up until those last two possesions for Jasper, they may have thrown 4 times. They passed 9 times those last two possessions, out of the spread.

  10. Thanks. Again, I need to just shut up. :-X No need to shut up AAW. If the truth is indeed that posts are going to be limited about HJ and you guys are not going to allow certain things from us that is fine. Now if what you meant to say was that you guys are going to monitor topics and make them stay on topics and not turn in to HJ threads rather than what they are meant to be I understand that because that did happen alot last year. Buy simply saying "we are not going to let this turn in to an HJ basketball forumn" leads me to believe you are going to limit number of posts and or topics and I did not think that was the point of this site. With that said this site can do what it wants as I am sure it is a dictatorship not a democracy. What I put in bold was what I meant. I apologize for misleading and not being more clear with my original post. As for this site being a dictatorship and not a democracy, that maybe true since it is privately owned and run. But I would not call it a dictatorship though.
  11. Thanks. Again, I need to just shut up. :-X
  12. I need to keep my mouth shut. Lesson learned.
  13. Obviously you are missing the point. Sorry for ruffling the feathers.
  14. Spring Hill visits Chapel Hill this Friday that will have the rest of us Region III 3A fans very interested in the outcome of this game. If Spring Hill wins, look for Gilmer to go Div. I, but if Chapel Hill wins, Gilmer will go Div. II. Talk is that both these teams could make the playoffs as Tatum doesn't look as strong as some predicted. The only way Gilmer goes Div. I is if Chapel Hill doesn't make the playoffs. Chapel Hill is the largest school in the district followed by Gilmer. I won't lie about it, I am rooting for Chapel Hill. ;D
  15. Don't eat the links at HJ.
  16. Well, at least 2. ;D
  17. I agree with the bold part 100%.
  18. No, that's not what I am saying. Nobody will be limited to how much they can post. Everyone will be entitled to his or her opinion.
  19. I support my Tiger teams, but will respect anyone's differing opinion, good or bad. : : : :D Oh really AAW??? How ironic. I respect it, may not agree with it, but respect a person's own opinion. I'll argue my point always till proven wrong, but if someone thinks differently about my Tigers than I do, I can debate with them and still respect their opinion. Of course unless I know for a fact they are doing it only out of spite. I don't think this is the case though.
  20. I support my Tiger teams, but will respect anyone's differing opinion, good or bad.
  21. The way I see it, Wildcat is entitled to his opinion on the subject of HJ being overrated or not. Some may disagree with him, some may not. There is no problem with defending your team and saying why you may disagree with someone. What's not okay is to ridicule someone for them stating their opinion about a team. It's quite alright to debate back and forth on what each person believes in but it's not okay to just dismiss someone for their opinion. To say he doesn't know what he is talking about and that he is just a hater is not fair. He is just giving his opinion on what he thinks HJ will be this coming season, nothing more. I am going to say this right now on this thread because I was asked to by several folks to speak on this before basketball season gets underway. I hope this does not offend any of my friends over at Hardin-Jefferson. This basketball forum will not turn into a HJ basketball dominated forum like another site became. We want all the area schools to have their day in the sun here on our site. I really, really appreciate what the HJ fans bring to this site but we are not going to allow them to just dismiss others for their opinions on the Hawk team. The same will go for any other teams in our area. You can defend your teams till the cows come home but your opinion means no more than anyone else's. If you disagree with someone's opinion on how good or bad your team is, then defend it with your own opinion or facts. But don't make it personal. I have been guilty of this myself and I am going to promise not to do that any longer. If Wildcat thinks the Hawks are going to have a somewhat down year, so be it. I don't see how that is a personal attack on the HJ fans, players, or coaches. He maybe pretty observant but only time will tell on that. I for one will not make such predictions, but that's just me.
  22. Doty wins again!! Doty didn't win last week. It was Caleb Harmon, RB for PNG.
  23. Oh, here was another score from that "fall ball" tourney. Wheatley 38 LN 20 0-3 for LN. Have they won a game in any of these "fall ball" tourneys?
