  1. WOS girls 4x100 relay gets second, advance to state.
  2. Jeremy just won the long jump at regionals. Had a leap of '23 "10. His jump was a foot longer than what he did at district. His regional championship jump was over a foot better than the runner up. Jeremy will now go to state as the favorite.
  3. I will be getting results this afternnoon. Got some reporters on site that will be "relaying" the info to me.
  4. Silsbee's Jeremy Johnson won the long jump with a leap of '23 "10. That's a foot longer than he jumped at the district meet. WOS's James Haynes was second. WOS's Trey Franks did not qualify for state in the long or triple jump. I am trying to get all the results from yesterday's field events and get the results from todays running finals. Neither has been posted on the host site.
  5. So what are you saying here, Gabe? That the ump did badly and you could have done better or he did a good job and you still could have done better? ;D
  6. I know one thing's for sure, the shoe's left by SS Josh James will be very hard to fill. We will miss his playmaking ability very much.
  7. I'll be up in Jasper TONIGHT bringing you LIVE baseball playoff action as Shelbyville, runner's up in 22-2A, will take on 23-2A district champ Buna in Region III class 2A area round playoffs. SETXsports.com has hooked up with the Buna Cougars again this playoff season and we will follow the Coogs all the way through the playoffs, hopefullly back to Austin as we did last season. Broadcast time will be at 6:45, with the first pitch at 7pm. Catch all the Buna Cougar playoffs right here at SETXsports.com!!! Mike Sanchez, SETXsports.com broadcaster
  8. No problem. Like the late Rodney Dangerfield said, "Place your bets, place your bets!" "Hey Shmells(Lazeek), thousand bucks you miss that putt!" ;D
  9. Lazeek, it's being worked on as we speak. Jordan and I have talked about this for a couple of years now. We need to get some of us together and have a meeting about it to brain storm it.
  10. Actually, with Griffin going to be a Junior next season and Jeremy just being a high school senior, he wouldn't have to wait but one year. If Jeremy goes to Baylor, he will be a freshman when Griffin is a senior, if Griffin stays for his senior year. Jeremy is an excellant basketball player. I really wish he would comeback to play hoops this coming season. He would help tremendously.
  11. This has been a great two weeks for Jeremy Johnson and Tiger football. Today, Michigan, West Virginia, Kentucky, Missouri, and Iowa State were all at the High School at the same time. Yesterday, Akansas and Iowa State became the 16th & 17th schools to offer Jeremy. Miami and Akansas were at the school Monday. Two weeks ago it was Oklahoma and UT there. Jeremy is getting well deserved attention and he is really enjoying this recruiting process. Frontrunners are West Virginia, Michigan, and Baylor. All want him at QB.
  12. Good question.
  13. It is true I am sorry to say. Coach K has decided to leave Silsbee. I wish you luck Bob, you're a great coach but a better man. We'll miss you.
  14. I wouldn't go as far as saying top 5, too many big 5A's in the state that send many each year to DI, but WOS has had their fair share.
  15. I am trying to find out right now.
  16. Mainly because it's easier for them to talk about someone's shortcomings than one's overcomings. I agree Nos, Celtics made the comeback. But, in all comebacks, you do get a little help from time to time from the opponent.
  17. Just heard it on ESPN from Skip Bayless. He says and I quote, "Dwight Howard cannot score on Kendrick Perkins!!" Get'em PERK!!! Howard is definetly frustrated.
  18. So true. BTW Dicky, I like that new avatar. ;D
  19. This is correct. Privates do not take the TAKS. They do not fall under TEA. They do have a test that they take to show growth but do not have a standardize test to qualify for graduation or advancement.
  20. What do you mean, IF? ;D I had an excellant round that day, from tee to green. I just wish it would have been a bigger game, we only had 11 playing that day. Contrary to what you might think, I haven't been on the course as much as I would like. But, I have been at the poker tables a little too much. ;D You are right about one thing, I need a job!
  21. Neeeever heard of him. :
  22. Silsbee put the "country" in country club. Don't let that run you away. I would say we have about 5-8 single digit handicap players in our club. We have a skins game every Saturday morning at 10am and one on Sunday at 1pm. We also have a 1pm Friday game. Most of these games have all kinds of handicaps involved. Usually we have about 10-20 players but we have had as many as 35. A couple of Friday's ago I came out the big skin winner. I shot a -2 70 that day. One of the members just this past Saturday won big in the Saturday skins. There were only two good skins and he had one of them. He pocketed $280 for that skin. He is a 14 handicap.
  23. No doubt. Enough of these 4 man things. I really like the two man tournaments.
  24. This year's tourney is coming up fast. Dates are June 18-21. You can pm me or Tigersvoice if you are interested. Our pro flight is really a treat with several up and coming pros playing the last few years along with a few guys that have played the PGA Tour along with several of the Adams Tour professionals teeing it up here. Just a great tournament to play and/or attend.
  25. Lazeek, you need to understand that this is an individual medal play tourney and not a four man scramble indicated by that score you just posted. ;D In all seriousness, I would really like to see you and your brothers in-law playing in our tournament. You huys would have a blast, I promise you.
