Early Thoughts on Realignment?

Kirbyville will move back up to 3-A because they have 452 people enrolled there now and the top number for 2-A is 429 Man, Kirbyville is growing.....It is like they and Lumberton who are actually having a good increase in their school census. Are there any other schools growing a great deal in the area? Orangefield? Silsbee? LCM? Silsbee is pretty stable right now. We have stayed around that 850 number for a few years now. -
That's my broadcast partner!!!! Ole Tigersvoice is the best color man in Southeast Texas! BTW voice, SFA85 is a comedian at best.
-
He is a dad.

I believe the name of the team was the Southeast Texas Gators but I could be wrong. Someone please correct me if that is not the team.

Take's someone to press the charges.

Hmmmm, I wonder who this might be? Pathetic, plain and simple. I would be looking for an explanation, that's for sure.

Early Thoughts on Realignment?

Angelton? Maybe Friendswood, LM, and TC, but heck Lumberton beat LM just two years ago in the playoffs. I'll take 20-4A over that district with Dayton and BH in our district. Actually, Angelton was a regional semi-finalist last year and is picked to win this district this year by DCTF. BTW, LaMarque is picked to finish 7th out of this 8 team district by DCTF. To me it's a 3 team district with Angelton, Friendswood and Texas City. That fourth spot is up for grabs. The suprise team should be Pearland Dawson. They are returning all 52 letterman and all 22 starters from last year's first ever varsity team that went 4-4, 3-4 in district. -

National All-Time Winning Percentages (WO-S #20)

You got to be impressed with John Curtis, Louisiana, regardless of if they are a private or small school. A 90% winning percentage over 500 games is just awesome. -

I thought this was the basketball forum? Take that baseball talk elsewhere! -
You prove my point again. The Cowboy fans are as strong as any in the league yet they haven't won a playoff game in 13 years. Fans don't and cant win games. And the income at the gate for HS games does go into the ethletic. bugget and that goes to the team. PNG has sold out games all year and all that money still cant win them games. Players and coaches win games not fans, moms, dad, nor the band Thank you.

According to Rivals. Scout.com has Jeremy rated higher than Brunetti. Also, according to WV websites, Brunetti looks to be moving to a different position if he comes to WV. My info about Texas offering came from the Johnson family, I'll take their word. Rivals is the only recruiting service that has Brunetti rated higher. : -

Beating WOS has nothing to do with Jeremy Johnson's recruiting. Colleges could careless. The only thing it would make good for would be us Silsbee folk. ;D -
Most Returning Starters For Next Season?
AggiesAreWe replied to KFDM COOP's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Silsbee only lost 1 starter, Kelly. He was the only senior on the team. They also had no juniors on the team, just soph. and fresh. -

I agree, stang4life. I would love to be able to drive to see JJ play. But, it's his decision and I will be happy for him where ever he goes. I really see great things coming to this young man. -

It will be interesting to see if JJ sticks with WV. I think he will but the Mountaineers also got a verbal from another top dual threat QB. One recruiting service has JJ rated higher but another has the other guy rated higher. I did read on a West Virginia sports site that the other QB recruit will probably be converted to another position. -
Even though Silsbee blue chip QB Jeremy Johnson has verbally committed to West Virginia, he is still getting offers. Here is a list of the schools that have offered scholarships to Jeremy: West Virginia, Michigan, Kentucky, Baylor, Houston, Arkansas, Iowa St., Missouri, TCU, Arizona, Vanderbilt, Southern Mississippi, Purdue, Illinois, Kansas St., Tulsa, SMU, Utah, Lamar, Sam Houston and ETBU for the quarterback position. Oklahoma, Texas, and Texas A&M for receiver/defensive back. He turned down recruiting visits to LSU, Florida, UCLA, Oregon and Miami because of their current quarterback situation. Jeremy is also being recruited by Kentucky and Texas for track. Jeremy is currently rated the top prospect in the Southeast Texas area by Scout.com. He is rated the # 2 quarterback in the state, #9 in the nation and the #120 overall in the nation, regardless of position. Rivals.com has him #9 rated Dual Threat QB in the nation, #2 in state. He is the only consensus 4 star recruit in the Southeast Texas area, by both recruiting services. Our area does not have a 5 star recruit like Michaels was last year. Jeremy just came back from the Nike All American camp in Austin, a special invitation only camp. He did very well and it looks real good for Jeremy to get an invite to play in the All American game next year. I'll know something more later in the season. We're keeping our fingers crossed.

The 17th is the Thursday practice round, shrimp boil and calcutta. The practice round starts at noon and there is a $20 skins game and we give away two watches for low gross round and low net round on that day. This years skins pot was $1000 with 4 skins good making them worth $250 apiece. The shrimp boil starts at 5:45 pm and the calcutta starts around 8pm.
