I remember that game. Silsbee had two chances to score that night, threw an int in the endzone and fumbled at the 7 yard line. Yes, Morrissey was on that Tiger team. He was a man among boys back then.

Actually, that wasn't a playoff game. It was a regular season game that Silsbee won 48-44. Jay McGuire rushed for 454 yards that night. He had a total all-purpose yardage of over 600 yards in that game with 6 td's. Now Silsbee and Nederland did play each other again that year in the playoffs but McGuire did not play. He had broken his leg in the regular season finale against Jasper. You would think that Silsbee wouldn't of stood a chance against Nederland without Jay but they beat the Bulldogs 34-7 in that playoff game. Stanley Rhone, Silsbee's fullback moved to the tailback position in that game and rushed for 190 yards, 3 td's. Also, in the regular season game, Silsbee chose to play a zone and not blitz and the Nederland QB Hood, picked Silsbee's secondary apart. In the playoff game, Silsbee went man defense and blitzed pretty much all night. They sacked Hood 10 times in that game, with 2 int's. It was a great defensive game plan by the Tiger coaches. I have both those games on tape, watch it every now and then. Was Nederland 3A at that time? No, Silsbee was 4A. Silsbee has just been 3A for the last 5 years. And Jasper was 4A as well? Yes, Jasper was 4A as well. Jasper only dropped down to 3A just a couple of years prior to Silsbee dropping down.

3 Cards drafted thus far in MLB draft

That's because there are a million minor league and developmental league teams out there, or so it seems. -
A simple suggestion...Drop the BOJO crap and people will take you more serious. That was a horrible rip off idea from a horrible coach and is seen as down right laughable by the folks on this board and around the GT. You guys have a new coach with a new attitude and should be moving forward in the future. A new coach who tore down all the bojo crap...what i don't understand is why everyone is taking PNG seriously what do they have that would hint anything better than last year, unlike LCM. You just have to realize that this site is ran by PNG grads. PNG fans get on this site and try to build their teams confidence with optimism. There is nothing wrong with that , but don't believe the hype. Good luck to both BOJO & PNGOJO ! Who in charge is a PNG grad? I believe the administrator of this site is a proud WOS grad. Wrong he is a Jasper Grad Isn't coop a Mustang? The owner of this site is a Jasper graduate. Coop is an administrator, true, but we are talking grads here, right? Kerry is a Mustang, just not a grad.
-
Nope, your wrong.
-
The owner of this site is a Jasper grad. The admins are Silsbee, PNG, Orangefield, LCM, and I believe Nederland. Our moderators cover just about every school from our area. No one school runs this site.

Couldn't have said that any better. Great article, Van. WOSCisd, step it up and get this track program what it needs, they've earned it. -
Congrats to these two fine golfers. Good luck in the "second best" tournament that weekend. ;D On the flip side, 2 former Lamar golfers with a possible 3rd former Card will be playing in the 42nd Annual Silsbee MGA Invitational that week. Former All-American and 2 time defending champ Dawie Van der Walt along with former teammate Dusty Smith will be teeing it up at Silsbee CC starting on June 18th. Also, Casey Clendenon, another former teammate of their's could quite possibly be playing also. Good luck to all these former Cardinal golfers.

On June 19th Jeremy is going back to Austin for the Nike Five Star Combine. This is an opportunity for Jeremy that could put him in the position to play in the All American game. Also, a recent article of Jeremy in the Silsbee Bee got over 50,000 hits with the majority of those being from West Virginia. WOW!!! Those Mountaineers really love JJ.

One of the bigger news involves this person: [Hidden Content] For one special night in Tiger Stadium! WOS fans, be prepared.

Not only are we looking at a new approach for the preview show, but there is also some other big news coming. Stay tuned!

I wonder how many local coaches we could get to be guests on our show if we held it at Hooters? ;D

Silsbee MGA Invitational Golf Tournament 2009
AggiesAreWe replied to a topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Yes he can. I talked to him yesterday after he got back from playing over there at Idylwild. He said he played okay, shot 76. The tournament is down to just 4 spots open out of the 144 player field. Only need one more spot to fill the pro flight. -
Silsbee MGA Invitational Golf Tournament 2009
AggiesAreWe replied to a topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
No. He has too many other responsibilities during tournament week to play. Randy Randall is the sole reason our greens are back to top shape. They are 200% better this year than last year. Everyone that played last year that is playing this year will be amazed at how good the greens are. -
