I usually stay at the Sheraton at the crossroads of 290 and 35. It's not that much of a drive and with my media credentials I am able to park in the media lot which is the only lot the Drum has on property. I am sorry, but you will never see me pay $200-$400 a night just to be able to walk across the highway. The 5 minute drive and parking is not that bad and it's definitely not bad enough for me to spend $1200 or more to stay for 4 nights. I get the Sheraton for $80 a night.

I was there tonight. Lamar got killed on the boards. Canicius was a better team than I expected, but Lamar still should have beaten this team. Roc has had his time, it's time for him to go. I have never (made statements about this a few years ago) been impressed with his x's and o's. His in-game decision making is terrible. He simply cannot make adjustments. BCG!! BCG!!! BCG!!!

The biggest factor to me was free throws. Evadale was terrible at the line, going 3-20 (2-16 in first half) for 15% (12% 1st half) while Kountze was a solid 12-17, 70%.

It's nice that you can go on the road and play very sloppy against a descent Jasper team and still come away with a 17 point victory, then play at home and continue to play sloppy but yet get a 38 point win over Anahuac. Teams usually go through a bit of a lull. Hope this is Silsbee's bit. ;)

Just speaking for Silsbee, I don't think there is a 3A team in the state that Silsbee cannot compete with. After taking 4A #1 ranked Galveston Ball to the brink of defeat, I like Silsbee's chances against any of the 3A teams in the state.

Varsity game time is actually 7:30pm. We will start the broadcast around 7:20.

After leaving Central, isn't Coach Green's record against his old team something like 12-1?
