Yes, the Tigers are real young this year. Several players will be getting their feet wet this year. I think we have 5-7 sophmores on varsity this year. We do have some experience on the o-line which will help. I have been to several practices and there is definetly some learning processes going on. I think Silsbee will take some lumps early in the seaon with some turnover and missed assignment issues but with the talent I see out there, they'll come around come district time and make the playoffs. Consistantcy will be a must. With such a young group, the Tigers will look great and then look bad. You are right, the future is real bright for Silsbee.

There would be probably worst scenerios than this. Orangefield would have to travel to Shepherd and Coldspring. The west Texas teams would travel further. Like I said before, the UIL claims they are doing it for fairness, but we all know the reason we have more playoff games and more state champions is to generate more money for the UIL, plain and simple.

So, if I read this correctly, when realignment comes in Feb., UIL ( NCAA wannabees ) will have two different districts for schools to participate in. One for strictly football, the other for all other sports. This seems just so unnecessary. Girls vollyball could be playing totally different schools than the football team does. Question, don't the A.D.'s in your district get together and determine what schools chair each sport? How would they determine football, seeing that you usually spread it out so that everyone gets a piece of the pie.

I agree with you soulja, but if you are going to have three teams use the same stadium, you have to go to turf. The grass field would be tore up by midseason.

I don't think he was implying that Shannon and Tramain would be guarding each other. Just being excited about the two best players for their teams doing there thing on the court.
