2.
Missed the show tonight , but we had some great games this past weekend. What was the talk about, PNG big comeback, Nederland's 9 inning gem over GCM or LCM thriller in game 3 over KP?
None of the above. We actually talked about those games but due to lack of response, we started talking football. What's up with the baseball folks? Since baseball season has started, it's been dead on show nights.
 3. Show will start in 5 minutes so get those questions and comments posted so we can discuss them in our last segment.
 4. I guess he just couldn't handle the pressure from playing so poorly, so he WD's. ::)
 5.
How many schools are considered "east Texas"?     If you are going to say that east texas consists of every school south of Oklahoma, and east of I-45, until you get within 75 miles of the coast, then "southeast Texas" is a pretty small area without many schools.  What does that leave?   A couple of 5A schools and maybe a dozen 4A?  You would think that "east Texas" would naturally have more playoff caliber teams, regardless of talent.
Good point.

 7.
aggie, may i ask how much money is the school looking at to put turf down ,do thay have the money to do this are will thay leave it up to the tax payers in your city to vote on this .JUST ASKING THATS ALL
No vote, no taxpayer money. This will be covered by the district and maybe some private donation. The cost looks to be around a $1,000,000.
 8.
I've always thought that it was a great facility but the turf was horrible. We won a game there several years ago and had less than 100 yds total offense. It was unbelievably muddy. I also think it was on a Monday after a hurricane scare. I also hated having to change in the basketball gym and walk up and down the hill to get to the stadium. I think that may have changed now.
This has changed. There is a brand new game day field house in the northeast corner of Tiger Stadium.

I also hated having to change in the basketball gym and walk up and down the hill to get to the stadium. I think that may have changed now.
When Tiger Stadium was first built, the grass for the field was not that great for the first few years. Had some drainage problems among other things. But over the last 3-4 years, the field was actually one of the best grass playing surfaces in the area. This coming from comments from opposing players and coaches. Just about everybody praised the surface. But since the WOS game of this past season, the field has not recovered that well. It didn't help that they had to play 2 games there right after the WOS game. Therefore the administration is looking into getting field turf.
 10. Don't look for Travis Williams to apply for the Kountze job.
 11.
the tigers,do have alot returning (BUT NO JJ ) ;)
WOS has a lot coming back, but no Franks, Haynes or Cook. ;) The loss of two OU signees has to be just as devastating as losing a West Virginia signee. ;)
 12.
last year everyone that played silsbee KEYED ON JJ but on dice.he was the king pin for the tigers and all the coaches this year are glad he is not there lol ;)
I would think if you have a top 10 nationally ranked QB, you would be smart to "key" on him. ::)
 13. Silsbee Girls 4X200 relay advances to state after winning regionals with a time of 1:42.80!! Congrats! Silsbee Girls stand 3rd overall with two events left.
 14.
I know WOS has a lot of returners. I have to give them the nod to take district. BC has some good ones returning but I am not too sure of how many. Orangefield will have their QB back I think but I am not too sure of who else is returning. Maybe Bleed Orange can enlighten us on this. Silsbee lost it's great QB but I am not sure of who else. I think they lost a lot but maybe I am wrong. Right now I say: 1. WOS 2. BC 3. Orangefeild/Silsbee. The rest I can't even guess.
Orangefield lost it's QB, Huckaby is a senior. As for Silsbee, they return 16 starters, 11 of which were either 1st or 2nd team all district.
 15.
IMO the best chance of playing in mid December is Kirbyville.  Despite going 3A, they return their best team of the Alvarez era, and won't have to play WOS, Carthage, Gilmer, and the other big boys of 3A. Newton always has a great chance, their Newton, and this maybe Barbay's swan song. WOS and Westbrook are the only other two with a shooter's chance IMO.
Why wouldn't Kirbyville not have to play WOS? They both will be in 3A Division II.
 16. Correction, just saw where the kid from Taylor jumped '51 feet at the 3A Region III meet.
 17.
Day 1 Finals: [Hidden Content]
The kid from Chilton jumping '50 "1 3/4 in the triple jump is very impressive. Wins by 7 feet. Would have won 4A by 4 feet!!! That has to be the top jump in the state in any classification.
 18. Texas Bob has the capacity at 9,300 but that was before they added the semi horseshoe seating. I was told the capacity was right at 10,000 now. [Hidden Content] Also, according to Texas Bob, Lumberton's Raider Stadium has a capacity of 10,000. [Hidden Content]
 19.

I hear that the Kirbyville game will be played in Silsbee now.
yes the kirbyville game is goin to be played in silsbee cause kirbyville stadium was not big enough
Silsbees' stadium will not be large enough either. We played there once and it doesnt hold enough people , especially on the visitors side.
Silsbee's Tiger Stadium holds 10,000. It is plenty big enough for a Kirbyville/Vidor game. ::)
 20. None of the above. Evadale has the best chance of any local team to make it to Austin. Question is, why weren't they included in this poll?
 21. Single site for football is a ridiculous idea! UIL is being run by some money grabbing bozo's. I have no problem with a stadium hosting 2 maybe 3 games, but not all of them!! I agree what was posted earlier, let the two teams that make it to the state game decide where they want to play.
 22. Orangefield is the best 3A team in Region III. (because I say so) ;) But being the best doesn't always get you to Austin. You have to get some breaks.
