1. Let's just say I will take bucfan77's word on this issue over others. ;)
Ignorance - A state of being uninformed (lack of knowledge).  I have nothing to prove to you nor anyone else here but I would have to say you don't know me because I am not at all "uninformed" nor do I "lack knowledge" about the statement that I made and stand by.  Again I say, I'm not beating any chests nor am I bragging about a loss but it seems to me that you are making excuses (silsbee being without "probably" their 2nd best player and their head coach) as most people do after their predictions don't pan out.  Your statement sounds a little "ignorant" because if you have to say "probably" then I would think that is falls under uninformed/lack of knowledge.  If you're so sure of yourself then you would know whether or not whomever you refer to as being the 2nd best player is really the 2nd best player.  If you're going to quote BD then get it right...he stated "the HF staff played to lose and not make it a blowout".  HF staff needs to start "playing to WIN and not make it a blowout" and have confidence in the players they have.  I've been around these players much longer than the HF staff and I know (that's having knowledge) what talent HF has.
sorry i paraphrased that quote... quite ignorant of me to assume you'd understand.  and yes, i'll plead some ignorance as to the best players on silsbee's squad.  i know about them, but not well enough to say who's 2nd or 3rd best behind DC.   if i'm interpreting this statement correctly "I (hfmom) would be brave enough to say "If HF would stop coaching like it's Little Dribblers, we COULD handle Silsbee and anyone else in our district THIS YEAR" then you're saying essentially that HF would be at the top of this district with a different coaching staff.  you can say that that isn't an ignorant statement all you want, but you'd be wrong.  again, HF is certainly improved this year, but they're looking at 2 losses to silsbee, 2 to HJ, probably 2 to WOS, the loss you've already picked up against OF, and that's 7 if they win every other game.  Young Mr. Hunter makes a difference, but he's not going to make that big of a difference just yet.
He did not make any difference Friday night. All he did was foul, fouling out at the end of the 3rd, with just 2 points, 1 assist.
Well..obviously this is personal. Now, after my investigation...the plan was for him not to have the ball. The plan was to have "Frenchie" handle the ball coming down the court-he's taller to see over the press..from what I was told. This is the ONLY game where J. Hunter has only scored 2pts and did not handle the ball! The ball was virtually designed to be out of his hands...believe me, I asked b/c I had never seen this b/4 in the 3 previous games. Check the STATS Aggie since you have a direct line to OUR books. Now if Aggie would give a little more media time to HF instead of running behind Silsbee all season, you would know first hand what he brings to this team in the 4 games he has played, not just from this one game. Now if you want a debate and possibly a fight about J. Hunter...then it's on! He works hard on the floor-100% constantly having to help out on defense when a man has been beaten. He is aggressive! Yes, I will not deny..he does foul....A LOT! So, Aggie, I invite you out more often and I surely invite you to OUR Stat Books and then maybe your reporting will be more crediable!
I called it like I saw it. Hunter did not have a good game in this particular game therefore he wasn't a difference maker in THIS GAME!!! Never have I said that he wasn't or would not be a difference maker in previous or future games. I have stated that he has a bright future and will be a good one, eventually. But it did not show in this ONE game against Silsbee. According to MY game stats (which I keep for every broadcast) Hunter had just 2 points, 1 assists, 5 turnovers and 5 fouls, in limited minutes (due to foul trouble). That's all I was reporting. Never suggested he was not a good player, nor implying that he would never be a good player. Just calling it like I saw it. Martin is the name of the foreign exchange student (figured you would know the name of the players). He had a very good game, scoring 20 and help bringing the ball up the floor. Smith also played well, scoring 13 and playing solid defense. As for why I follow Silsbee, I have been broadcasting all of Silsbee athletics (football, basketball, baseball, softball) here on this site for going on 3 years now. SETXsports has a contract with SISD and I get paid to broadcast these games. Pretty natural fit in that I am a Silsbee alum, former athlete and still reside in Silsbee. My family is all about Silsbeee Tiger athletics (still have a son at SHS, other son graduated in '10). So, I'll be "running behind" Silsbee long after you and your sons have either finished at HF or have transfered out, which ever comes first. ;) That's as "logical" as I can get. ;) ;D
I agree with your assessment Aggie, but where did the "transfer" come from?  ;D
Well, you know Dove, I "hears things". ;) ;D
 3. SIC'EM!!!!! ;D Good post, playa.
 4.
It is all about Mike............. :D :D :D Get well bud and I will be your co-pilot next week!!!
Looking forward to it.
 5. Because of the fact of me being down with bronchitus, I will not be able to broadcast the Silsbee/Orangefield game tomorrow night. Hopefully I will be back in the saddle Friday night. However, KOGT will be broadcasting the Silsbee/Orangefield game (both girls and boys), so you can tune in at 1600AM or on KOGT.com. We will provide the link to KOGT on our game thread tomorrow night. Sorry for this inconvience and I appreciate your understanding.
 6. Due to me being under the weather (bronchitus), there will be no preview show tonight. We will be back next Monday night LIVE from the Hamburger Depot for our Weekly High School Preview show. We apologize for this inconvience and appreciate your understanding.
 7. To be accurate, the "passionate" fan did not ask IF said player went without any fouls, the fan was asking (in a raised voice heard over our mics) HOW said player went without any fouls. ;) ;D Rant is probably not the most accurate of words to describe the incident, my apologies. Crying and not showing some courtesy by interupting our broadcast may not be considered a rant to some, but that's what I would call it. You will have to excuse my weak vocabulary. I apologize.
 8. SETXsports is looking for broadcast opportunities to broadcast local baseball this season. Due to losing the Vidor baseball broadcasts, we would like to replace them with another team or two. Silsbee baseball is the only team we have on schedule to broadcast. If you or your school is interested, please contact us here at SETXsports. We will provide all the info you will need to get started. You can contact me (AggiesAreWe, site admin) or jdawg03 (site owner) via pm and we will get back to you. There is lot's of great local baseball played here in SETX, so let's get some of that great ball playing over the airways here at SETXsports.com!!!
Do you think Stallworth will be able to play the entire game without fouling as he did in the last game?
I certainly do not expect him too. Honestly, I hope that he doesn't. This may keep a certain "passionate" fan from coming over to our broadcast table while we were still on air and ranting about said fact during our post game wrap up. ;) (I almost gave credit for that rant on air) ;)

 11. I agree. But the only real thing the HF PG did Friday night was put Silsbee at the free throw line. ;) I have no doubt that the Hunter kid will be a good one, in due time. But, after he picked up a few fouls and turned it over 4 or 5 times, he got frustrated and really was no factor in the game. However, Smith and Martin really played well for HF.

 13.
hey AAW, i don't suppose you'd list the stats for this game when you get a chance, would you?
I will when I get home later today. In Houston, went to Rocket game last night.
 14. Just for clarification, HJ has made the regional tourney 4 straight years, '07, '08, '09, '10, not 6 or 7. ;)
 15.
Did he not pass the last one?
What last one? This is the scheduled one.
 16.
Yeah he is a really good coach and has really calmed the team down in the past year. We are no longrer a team that fights, but a team that playes soccer.
Too bad. I like a soccer team that fights, makes it more interesting, like hockey. ;D
 17.
When is Travis coming back? Tuesday? I know they have Orangefield and Bridge City the next 2 games, but they need to get into rhythem before the next HJ game. Could be trouble!
Travis has his stress test on Feb. 1st. He will not know of his return status until after that day.
 18.
I hope HJ plays Nederland for a playoff warm-up game-- if it's not Silsbee, of course.
Not likely to happen with Nederland. 5A and 4A take four teams to the playoffs, no bye in the playoffs. They all, including district champ, play in the first round. Usually only teams with a bye will schedule a warm up game.
 19.
I have 5 tickets as well. Going to the Houston Rocket game tonight, will not be using my Lamar tickets.
That didn't take long. Tickets are gone!!
 20. Busby will be back in 3 weeks. Lane is expected to play this Tuesday night. Also, Jarrian Rhone, who missed last night's game, will be back as well. Rhone flew to New Mexico yesterday on a football recruiting trip.
 21. I have 5 tickets as well. Going to the Houston Rocket game tonight, will not be using my Lamar tickets.
 22. Shooter, I am pulling for your Bulldogs.
 23.
When a team is picked to blow throw their dist. it is eazy for other teams to get up to play them. Its is harder for the better team to get up to play weeker teams, I think that they will be ready to play come playoff time.
I also agree with this statement. ;)
 24.

My whole arguement was starting a new thread calling out the individual. It was totally unnecessary. HFmom kept the talk within the original thread. She didn't start a thread calling out the naysayers like you did, nash. I don't have a problem with what she posted and I would not have had a problem had you kept it within the original prediction threads. I think starting another thread calling out a certain individual is not right. My opinion.
I fully understand your point and it has  a lot of validity.  Is it safe to assume that you will offer the same vigilance for the next swag and/or Dickie v?  Seems to me that they "got by" with considerably more than reminding somebody they had miscalculated.
Point taken, duly noted.
 25.
I believe there is not near as much difference between all of the teams as first assumed.
I agree.
