Not surprised at this....  I know that there were some coaches who stayed away from this job because of the possibility that these kids would leave.  Will they be able to play varsity this year?  OR will they have to play JV?
Both will be playing JV.
 2.
How are defensive players of the week chosen? i know Daniel Messina (DB) for Kelly had 2 interceptions, one being in the endzone to seal the win for kelly with 50 seconds left. Also, Brandtley Wilson (LB) had 26 tackles and a forced fumble. Not knocking the kid from Vidor, just wondering
26 tackles??
 3. I have said all along, based on what I saw in the practices and scrimmages that I attended, Bevil would and should be the starter for the first game. But being who they were playing, I knew that all 3 QB's would play in the game. The weather played a major factor in the offensive scheme but the opponent was also terrible and just not a good test to do any evaluating. Bevil is the senior, no surprise he got the start. He will get the start in the next game. Jeremy will be the starter by mid season. ;) ;D
 4. Do not understand your question. But me thinks you meant it that way. ;)
I don't remember the last time one player ran for 200 yards against Buna, neither Albiton or Trevor Bell could do it, from what iv seen from this kid is speed when we have speed with Burch and speed and power with Williams, if i remember right we played this kid last year and i know he will be better this year but i don't see him living up to all the hype as the season goes on.All im saying is if he comes into Buna and runs all over one of the most physical teams in the area then I'll buy into the hype but until then we'll be seeing y'all the 16th
I remember the last time a player rushed for 200 or more against Buna. ;)
 9. Cry if you want to, Jeremy will be the starter by mid season.

Seems to be the correct call from what I have read.... your opposition fails to score on first possession.... you have the ball within FG range.... so instead of running another play and getting a penalty that pushes you out of range, or a fumble....  you take the FG try on 3rd down so that if you have a mis handle of the football you still have another shot at the FG or a hail mary for the endzone if its a bad lose on the snap..... I see no problem with this call at all.... other than the kick was missed.... just my opinion...
That is exactly correct in my opinion.  Could've been handled several ways, but the call by the coach was not a bad one.
I agree.
 12.
I'm not sure what you guys are expecting from Cleveland fans. If you were looking for nice game Silsbee then,"nice game Silsbee." The game was better and more competative than the final score indicates. I think Indian play calling was a little questionable in the second half, but that's not why Cleveland lost. Silsbee was the better team for now. I hope we have an opportunity to hook up again in a couple of months. The Indians are very young. They start 8 sophmores total(6 of those on defense). Due to an injury, that number went to 7 on defense in the second half. The offense is new and is a work in progress. I like the direction the Indians are headed and I'm still optomistic about there season. I thought Silsbee played hard and represented themselves well. I'll exclude Gaines from that. He's in need of some sportsmanship classes. Talent is all it takes, leave the attitude on the bus son. Good luck the rest of the way Tigers.
"The game was better and more competitive than the final score indicated?" ??? How you figure? Even when the score was tied at the half, 14-14, Silsbee had twice the amount of total yardage, 187-98. It was just a matter of time (and it happened in the 3rd) when Silsbee would start dominating this game. Silsbee blanks Cleveland in the 2nd half, 28-0, out gaining them 266-75 in total yardage, ending with a 453-173 total yard advantage. It was quite clear (even in the 1st half) who was the better team. The team that won 42-14 and has won 26 out of the 33 games between these two teams. Yet, some delusional Cleveland fans see this as a close game. ::)

 15.
So this game is tonight Saturday September 3 in Vidor? And is it worth driving an hour from Liberty lol?
Well, if you can get the CW Channel 10 on your cable, just stay at home and watch it on the TV. Or you can watch the game on KFDM.com.
 16.

Maple inherited a bad situation last year coming in at the end of June after the sudden un-wanted departure of the then Head Coach Ricky Tullos and his staff. You can’t judge a program on one year of hardships. After struggling last year I look for Cleveland to rise back up and be a very competitive football team, they are young but very talented. Cleveland has good kids and a good coaching staff. Look for them to get back into the playoffs. 2007 4-7 (4-1) 2008 10-1 (5-0) 2009 10-2 (5-0) 2010 2-8 (2-4) 2011 ??? Good Luck Clayton
Maples has turned this team around this year, this is not the same team as last year, I guarantee no one team including Coldsprings will run threw Cleveland like everyone is thinking, not only does this team have big talent this year you also have a group of kids whom has grown up together and can read what the other one is thinking, they arent playing as individuals anymore there playing as a team finally, that is something we lacked in the last 2 years, and I promise it makes a HUGE difference come game time. Coldsprings probably will take first but I promise Cleveland will be right behind them.... Good luck to all of our teams in district play..
I know of "one team" who just ran through Cleveland to a sum of 321 yards rushing, 453 total yards, limiting Cleveland to just 173 total yards and beating them 42-14. ;D
 17.
It was 3rd and 5 in the first over time and wos lined up for a fg. The only reason I could think of they did it is because they wanted to keep the ball in the middle of the field and not have to kick from the left or right of the field. Bad call imo especially when you have a back like Lindsey on your team.
I see. Also, sometimes you try a FG on 3rd down just so that if you have a bad snap or hold, if you do not get the kick off, you have another down to try.
 18.
Cleveland fans have officially left the forum! Silsbee will get another test next week against a good Lumberton team. Over the last 10 years, Lumberton has matched up well vs the Tigers.
Correction, average Lumberton team.
 19. Okay, someone who is not on the bottle (skip) please explain what really happened with this kicking on 3rd down thing.
