3 of the 5 opponents are the same. The other two, not so much. I wouldn't call that "almost" the same. PN-G and this years Shadow Creek would destroy HF and North Forest. Shadow Creek is now a year older. They only had soph. and juniors last year. Now a full class which is why they will be 6A in next realignment.

You forgot that BC plays Hamshire-Fannett while Silsbee plays Alvin Shadow Creek. Silsbee was 2-3 in non district last year.

Silsbee 4 of their 5 non district opponents are all state ranked. The 5th is a potential powerhouse in the making in future 6A Alvin Shadow Creek.

Just how the schedule fell. Even a person who sees nothing but disrespect in anyone's action can see this was really their only choice. Move on

Was really the only game on schedule to have homecoming. Silsbee only has 4 home games this year. PN-G is week 1, WO-S is week 5, BC is week 9 and Cleveland is week 11. Nobody has homecoming first week of season and nobody wanted to have homecoming that late in the season, particularly district games. So WO-S it is. No biggie. Isn't the first time Silsbee has had WO-S or other big time schools as their homecoming opponent. Oh, and Silsbee's other non-district opponent is soon to be 6A Alvin Shadow Creek.

Silsbee was invited to a national tourney in Chicago, not sure if they are going. Needed to raise funds.

Everybody cheats in some fashion. Just a given. The difference is it's mostly "assumed" but in this case an actual player said he got paid. Of course, unless he is lying.

According to my sources, Silsbee varsity scored 7 TD's, Lumberton varsity scored 1 TD.

If a student transfers in the spring term, that student does not have to sit the 15 days in the fall. Also, if a student enrolls within the first 6 days of start of school in fall, the student does not have to sit the required 15 days. This being said, the DEC still has to rule if the student is eligible or not.

and Lester had the audacity to cry and complain when Silsbee almost beat them by 100 several years ago in Big Sandy tourney.

Former Silsbee Tiger All-State basketball player DC Stallworth has been hired by Little Cypress-Mauriceville to be an assistant basketball coach and assistant football. This is DC's first coaching job. Big congrats to a fine young man!!
