That was one of the most heart breaking losses by a team on the diamond that I have ever witnessed. Silsbee out hit BC 11-3, made less error( 1 to BC's 4) and got great pitching from their starter Powell. Looking at the numbers, one would think Silsbee should win 6-2, not lose 5-4 in extras. The lone error ended up deciding the game. A real shame that it ended that way. Silsbee much deserved the win based on their overall play. Spoke with several BC folks after game, all stated that was a steal of a win. Hey, that's baseball. This kind of loss can hang over a team for a while, particularly since Silsbee will not play this Friday. Hoping the Tigers can bounce back from this one.
