A game of 3 runs. After Nederland took a 6-4 lead, HJ went on a 21-2 run to lead 25-8. Nederland then out scored HJ 33-11 to lead 41-36 at end of 3rd. The Hawks out scored the Bulldogs 18-6 in 4th to win it 54-47. From what I saw tonight, the start of the game was the reflection of a team (Nederland) that has played 6 games in last 5 days versus a team (HJ) that has played only 1 game the last 5 days. Nederland looked lethargic and HJ too full advantage. Give credit to Nederland for battling back but HJ stepped up the pressure in 4th and shot the ball overall much better than Nederland. Miguez did not play well, looked tired. Good win for the Hawks.

1 compared to 8 players for Silsbee, 3 of which are starters. Be proud of that 6 point loss after blowing 20 point lead. Will look good on the resume at end of season. BTW, are you guys a regional tourney team like your coach says you are?

Got to find a silver lining somewhere in a home loss (which should have been a road game) to a half varsity team.

Dunbar is preseason ranked 5A #25. What's wrong with that?

LaMarque out of Region 4 will be tough. I saw them play this past Saturday at New Caney tourney. They are good and will get two good players from football team this week.

I agree, that is a good win without their two best players. Silsbee handled Kennedale fairly easy last year. Silsbee and a few others will have something to say about who the best in 4A will be.
