I saw Leggett's thru Dec.3-5. Did not see Liberty. Will check again. -
Having Asst. AD's is common place, even at 3A schools. Having an AD, a head football and head basketball coach at a 3A school like Kountze (I say "like" based on their own money troubles) is very rare and not good business, IMO. No way you can get your monies worth having 3 different people in those positions at a school and community the size of Kountze.
-
Sorry, but Kountze ISD is not big enough or rich enough to have a separate AD, separate head football and a separate head basketball coach. That ain't happening.

Was kind of wondering that myself. What's up with all the comedic routines here lately? -

Actually, I have received La Porte and PA Memorial since posting this thread. Now down to 9 schedules needed. -

We are still needing these following basketball schedules: Diboll Corrigan-Camden Garrison Kirbyville PA Hope Leggett Spurger Very surprised that we do not have PA Memorial. A little surprised we do not have Channelview, La Porte, Diboll and Spurger. Not surprised at all that we do not have Liberty, C-C, Garrison, Kirbyville, PA Hope and Leggett. Those guys are always the last ones we get and most times it's after season starts or we piece it together as the season progresses. Never have this problem with football. -
TOM WESTERBERG HIRED AS NEW BARBERS HILL AD/HC!
AggiesAreWe replied to a topic in High School Football
Tatum 0-10. That looks so odd. (but I am good with it) -
When is your HBO special? I am guessing your comedy tour ends in March? (and I was actually thinking this thread could go on without Silsbee being brought up) smh
-
With that said, this tourney has four 4 team pools. The top two in each pool go to gold bracket (championship) the 3rd place pool team goes to silver bracket and remaining team in pool goes to bronze bracket. So, even with Big Sandy and Nederland in same pool, they both could possibly (and most likely) advance to Gold (Championship) bracket play. It's all good.
-
Brackets and pools are apples and oranges.
-
I am surely not suggesting HJ is scared. I know that they play both those teams in non-district. I don't think anyone is suggesting that HJ be in same pool as Big Sandy and Nederland. That is just not good tourney business. Particularly when they already have those teams on their schedule. I think the question was why those two teams, who played in championship last year, are in same pool this year? IMO, that has nothing to do with HJ and it's abilities to perform in their tourney.
-
So if Big Sandy and Nederland are in same pool, curious to see what the other pools look like. It's a very, very deep field and more than likely good teams are going to be in same pool. It is interesting though that the two finalist from last year are in same pool this year, but sometimes that's how the cookie crumbles. Should be another great tourney!

My info came from a coach who was there. This is the text I received: The 7'3 kid has a ways to go. He won't be a difference maker for Central. With him in they tried to go 2-3 zone which is not what Central does best. When they went man with him, you can iso him on the perimeter. He can't stay with who he is guarding. He will help but won't be the difference maker that some are saying on the board. You will see.

I am not ready to see a full strength basketball team till Whataburger Tourney. I think Silsbee is very capable of playing football past Dec. 1. Now that potential game on Dec. 4th or 5th (Navasota) will most likely put Silsbee at full strength the following week. -
McGallion's retirement has nothing to do with football from what I am told. This was his decision, no ultimatum. Sometimes other things in life are bigger than football.

SETXsports High School Football Rankings - Final
AggiesAreWe replied to WOSgrad's topic in High School Football
Our rankings have always ended after last week of regular season. Not sure the reason why it should carry on for just one week of playoffs. Other than 21-5A playing 22-5A, all our other districts play districts outside our coverage area in 1st round. So we should extend it one more week just so the 21-5A guys can say "I told you so"? smh -

I was told by some that the '7"3 kid struggled in the Central scrimmages at Baytown this past Saturday.
