Picking the best player in the area is hard lol Everyone has a different definition of being the best player.
Potential?
Scoring?
Overall?
Athletic ability?
Who is getting a scholarship to the better program?
Most important to their team?
So many factors to break down. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Just because someone has the potential to go further in their career does not mean they are a better HS basketball player. We see it time and time again! Colleges go for potential, size, academics, athleticism, etc. If you were picking against someone else to create the best 5 man lineup of setx HS basketball, not everyone would pick the same person first. It really is a never ending discussion!

So you know he is about to break a record, You have it down to the exact number of yards he needs to break it, but have "no idea" who the current record holder is? Hmmm. Thanks for the info, you sound like you know what your talking about.
I mean, I read the article. The article did not have the current record holder is. I know what I am talking about most of the time lol

Who holds the record now?
I have no idea

Ned QB has a chance to make history tonight. I believe he is only 92 passing yards away from breaking the single season passing yards record. This might have been talked about already, but it needed to be brought up! What a great young man that deserves this! He will have the record by the end of the 1st Quarter! Let’s go B!

Wanted to clarify on the PNG - BH situation...
We think both will split games but PNG wins on coin flip and we project they will get the 1 seed come playoff time. It may look weird at first but in detail, it makes sense.
Also, Kirbyville typo is fixed lol.
OF should get 1st but after that I think it could be a toss up for 2-5th

I will take OF by 17

CC has played four 2A schools in preseason. Winning two games and losing two games. They beat a weak Kville, New Waverly, and Kountze. They beat an undefeated A Shiro which had played a week schedule. This happens ever year with CC.
Newton is not as good as last year and CC is a little better than last year. It will not be a run the clock second half but Newton will win by 4 TDs.
CC was much better last year actually.

I'm sorry I just don't believe they will win it all. I have watched every game. And u only go by what u see.ur not looking at other teams.outside of gilmer and Carthage I don't think they have played anyone.gilmer made major mistakes against them that can be corrected. When they meet again in the playoffs it will be alot closer.and one other thing u fail to mention is bcz PG trys to put pressure on the qb with those book ends#40 and #44. That if u slow them down.there secondary isn't that gud. If a team threw more screens and stop routes.its a different ball game. And let's not forget #4 for gilmer was a man child against them.and if ur actually see there running game wasnt all that against a team that knows how to defend that type of offense.PG is extremely well coached and very disciplined but once again if u watching enough games.there are abt 8 teams that could win it all in D2.u have to look at other teams and not scores.
PG is probably the favorite still

Newton wins but CC keeps it respectful

East Chambers already played Orangefield for the District Championship. Anahuac will finish 3rd behind those two. Only question remains, who takes 4th in this District?
Who is it out of? Buna and Woodville?

who knows in this district. There is a history of the teams making the playoffs due to points and coin flips.
Man I hate that it comes down to that in some situations

Things could really get interesting for sure lol! What do y'all think will actually happen though?

Anahuac wins this on 38 - 21.
Anahuac keys to victory;
1. Anahuac has the best football player in Southeast Texas as their field general and defensive leader.
2. Anahuac is running the ball with more authority. They lost their power back to injury; now Neece has transformed the "Pony Express" into the "Wild Bunch". Let me explain, they have 4 backs that get better every week. I call them the "Wild Bunch" because you never know how they will lineup (so many different personnel groups). No matter who gets the football, you will see moves you have never seen.
3. The defense will Run! Hit! SCOOP! and SCORE! from all angles. Don't be surprised if a cheerleader knocks the hell out of someone, scoops the ball up and runs for a touchdown.
4. We must make the outstanding freshman QB play like a freshman. He will have to endure tremendous punishment for 4 quarters, every possession, and every play. One thousand and one, one thousand and two, one thous "Crash"!!!. Did someone get the license number of that truck?
5. We must have outstanding team pursuit on defense. Don't wait for someone else to make a play.
6. Don't miss your treatment this week. If you take care of your body, it will take care of you on Friday.
7. Special teams must be SPECIAL!
The last time Anahuac made this trip to EC everyone viewed the Panthers as the underdog. Many sit on the EC side instead of the visitors side, hoping to get one of the t-shirts being thrown in the stands. After Deon Mayes finished rushing for over 300 yards the traitors tried to give the shirts back. I am told that half of the coaching staff had to undergo counseling because of nightmares; #22 running the stretch play right at them and they could not stop it.
Don't underestimate this "PANTHER ATTACK" scheduled for Friday night.
Where is this kid going to college? The best player in SETX?

Maybe. I cant argue that, But Silsbee is not Newton. HF has a brand new program all the way through. I do not think they have a loss at any level this season. HF JV gave Newtons JV their first loss last week. Not comparable and I understand that. Silsbee will lose Friday and take 3rd behind HF.
Not happening. But congrats on a great season to HF. The QB is a great athlete!
