I watched this game. It appeared to me that Kountze had the bigger-better athletes. They still have to work a lot on their shooting. However the WOS coach told me they are missing seven varsity players in football and 12 JV players.
The win was good for Kountze. I bet they have a lot more wins to come. They should be a playoff team.
They beat Kountze last year 87-26 while they were still in the football playoffs... Did they graduate a lot of seniors last year?

Buna that good? Or was it more of Deweyville bring down

Thanks. Was going to attend if I didn't go to Houston but needed to stay home and rest and try to get rid of this crud.

Overall ability encompasses all other variables, so this has to be what you judge the best player by.
I'm not trying to make a lineup, cause I'm not picking positions, you have to pick 1 guy to build your team around. Who ya got?
I'll be honest as well, and this will probably hurt some feelings but its just my opinion, I don't see how your college recruitment has no say in your ability as a high school player. Don't give me "potential" either because colleges aren't giving away scholarships based on how good you might be. Might be an unpopular opinion but oh well.
I know for sure colleges recruit based on potential. When I say potential, I mean body frame, size, etc. Some HS kids are done growing and have filled out. Some have a lot of room to develop. This is coming from college coaches that I have talked to about recruiting.

Great pickup for Lamar. Very solid basketball player. Congrats to him and his family. Loved having him in my select program back in the day. Kid could always go.

Congrats to a great young man! Well deserved and will have a great career. Had the privilege of coaching this young man at a young age. I will never forget drawing up a play to beat the defending national champs at the buzzer for him. His dad has it on film! It was one of the best moments of my select basketball days lol. Great family, great young man, and very much deserved.

3A Region 3 District 22 Predictions
in High School Girls Basketball
Posted
District starts this week for this district and I am curious to see how everyone feels it will turn out this year. OF is probably still the favorite to win the district even with their record. They played a tough pre district schedule. Max Preps is Useless right now because most teams are not entering their scores. I do know that EC and Kountze have played twice already. Kountze beat them by 17 the first time and EC beat Kountze by 3 the second time.
Records according to Maxpreps
Buna ( 0-1)
OF (0-6)
Warren (0-6)
Kountze (8-8)
East Chambers (10-6)
Kirbyville (4-2)
Hardin (5-0)
Anahuac (3-3)
