1. LC-M has has a couple of deep runs in the playoff too. Under Coach David Williams (brother was an assistant) in 1994 we were 11-1, 1995 we were 9-2, 1997 we were 11-3 losing to LaMarque in the 4A quarterfinals. So, the Bears have had playoff success, several players play college ball and a friend of mine went to training camp with Tampa Bay. Then back in my day, 1981 we were 7-3 (only one team went to the playoffs), in 1983 we were 7-3 again. Sorry about being wrong on the 88 team that was 1-9 instead of 0-10. The Bears beat the Indians 13-0. However, you are wrong as it was their first year in 4A. Then the year you were bragging about 89, PN-G beat LC-M 34-28. That game my brother had two TD's with one being a 90 yard KO return. Blocked a FG and the Bears were at the Indians 20 yard line when the game ended.  So I know a little about the history of LC-M football.
 2. Honestly, just to piss the dude off saying that all the bear fan's are whinners.
 3. I don't hate PN-G as I dated a girl from there for about 7 years and most of her friends were pretty cool.  I know Ron McGill and several guys off the 88-89 teams for the Indians.
 4.
After reading the ridiculous posts on the tail end of this thread, it's clear we now have a new leader in the "WHINER" division.  Congrats Bear fans!!!
And the award for most obnoxious fan's goes to those few in PN-G that make post like the above. I still have video of your 88 team that was 0-10. Every program has it's up's and down's with some more than others but I can't wait for PN-G to be knocked out of the playoffs. Your run will be short lived.
 5. Can a LC-M fan or alumnus please tell me what is going on in North Orange? I can't believe the difference in the team. I know we lost a lot of talent from last year with Sonnier and Hunter Gonzales but all HS teams lose talent every year. Thanks for the reply.
 6.
How about when the lcm mascot tackled the indian spirit several years back that was really classy as well.  ;)
Man, that was twenty years ago as I was at that game and I knew the guy that did it. It may not have been classy but I couldn't stop laughing.
 7. We must be close to the same age because I remember that French team. They had a left handed QB and their HC was a overweight guy but knew how to coach. You're right, just find a way to win and the only stat that REALLY matters is the final score.
 8. It will be a good close game but IMO WO-S wins. Yes living in Orange and having family and friends who attended WO-S that is what I'm hoping will happen. Again, I pull for CCS, LC-M (terrible season) and WO-S.
 9. Having little knowledge of Silsbee except for the BC game and the game last night I'm going with the Mustang's as they will find a way to win. They are just winners over there. Nothing against the Tigers but WO-S had at least two DB's hurt last night and another player injured that was a starter. Then their star RB is injuried on the second offensive play.
 10. Wow, there are things I can't put on a public message board but like I said earlier this year CCS is going to struggle against good teams. They are a first year program and will be a lot better next season. Will admit I'm surprised they were shutout.
 11. I met him at the old Workout Studio (now World Gym Mid-County) and he was very nice and approachable. However, he was built like a rock. No joke, I bet back then he could bench about 450 lbs and squat more than I can remember. I would be in awe watching him workout. He was just an awesome physicial specimen.
 12. Man, I picked a great game to attend with this one. WO-S has great athletes and made the plays to win the game. Quinton Tezeno of WO-S was awesome as he brought a punt back for a TD and then returned a KO to the house for another score. JMHO, I know WO-S main RB got hurt early in the game (second carry I believe) and didn't return to the second half but the offense just doesn't seem right. With these same players WO-S would be scoring 20, 30, 40 points in a different system. They had 8 first downs, 111 yards rushing and 100 yards passing with 34 coming on the go ahead TD pass. That was WO-S' only offensive TD. Bridge City had their chances to win but poor special teams and questionable coaching killed them. Maybe once I can see not having a punt returner deep but not on every punt. It caused BC to start drives having to go 99. 97 and 92 yard to score. That is a killer going against the WO-S Chain Gang defense of Coach Cornell Thompson. One, they couldn't tackle Tezeno in the open field on the punt then instead of kicking the ball away from him on the kickoff they kick to him again as he returned that one too. Then why didn't Bridge City have anyone back to catch the punts as the Mustangs got 3 punts downs inside BC's 10 yard line with two being inside the 5? Once inside the 5, I thought WO-S had a safety from where I was sitting on BC but they got a good spot. Bridge City played hard all game and never quit all the way to Menard being sacked on WO-S' 23 yard line with 15 second left on a 4th down play. WO-S deserves credit for overcoming injuries to key players and still coming out with a win. This was really a great HS game. BTW, Congratulations to the Orangeleader's sports editor Van Wade for him being honored by the paper Friday night before the game for over 20 years of covering Orange County athletics.  A great guy who is another LC-M alumnus.
 13. "Ernest is no jitterbug runner," says Cowboy Coach Jimmy Johnson. "He runs smack over people." But no one dreamed that Anderson, who gained a total of 1,116 yards in his first two full seasons, would be as good a tailback as he is. Even while in high school in Orange, Texas he never rushed for 1,000 yards in a season or 200 in a game. [Hidden Content] Just to clear the air and let someone know I don't just make-up things.
 14. I love LC-M but this ain't going to be pretty for the Bears. Hope I'm wrong!

WOS B Team killed BC. How about 8th grade scores?
38-0 WOS
Thanks, that score is more of what I'm use to reading/hearing about regarding WO-S.
 16. Okay, I'll be at the game on the WOS side. I'll be in some Lamar University gear (red and white) so don't kill me in the stands. I don't have any blue and silver gear!  ;D

 18. No when WOS was winning state championships they weren't in the spread. However, that was back in 4A and there were bigger O-lineman. WOS is a fast but small team. They don't have the kids to pound it down your throat like years past. They do have talent though and the defense is always good. It will be a good game Friday BC has nothing to lose and WOS has the streak to keep in tact.
No, Prewitt should.
Thats Where You Wrong!
Why I wrongs?
Is that English?
 20.

No, he is a Prewittsexual. LOL. There has to be some type of connection. Family member, friend, fan of Kelly HS or alumnus.
If that's not the pot calling te Kettle black I don't know what is.  I am so sick and tired of you hyping Jeremy I could puke.  At least I have stats and facts to back up my opinion. I will admit, I do like the fact that he is a Kelly boy but that is about where it ends.  Don't know him know who is family is.  What I do know is that I am a big LU fan and I love LU football and I want to win and I want to sell out the home games.  If you want both of those things to happen then you play Prewitt until he proves that he's not deserving...which likely won't happen
I'm actually from Orange and don't see Bevil playing as bad as some of you make out. I say and will continue to say Jeremy Johnson is the future QB of this program. I haven't made half the post about Bevil that you do Prewitt. I think Bevil is already in the top 5 QB's in yardage to ever play at Lamar but to some of you that isn't good enough. I can say the same and more about my support of Lamar University.
 21. You're right he is from Iowa. My mistake as Marcus Malbrough DE is from Mizzou. I haven't been overly impressed his his play.
 22. In the heat of the moment a lap dog with go after a Pit Bull. I wonder who win's? I bet Harbaugh would take him. But you are right you can't always go by who looks tougher.

A couple of these others may have the credentials to do so.
2nd year program or not, our defense stinks...i didnt expect miracles this year, but i had hoped we would have made progress on defense...we havent..we have def players from UH, SMU,ARK ST,Tulane, Mizzou and AM...and they are getting kicked around, whether it be by Incarnate Word or TSU
Mizzou transfer Coleman is out with a ACL. Tulane transfer is out with a hamstring. Ark State transfer Blake Chavis is playing okay. ATM transfer Dorsey has had a pretty good year. Also lost for the season is James Washington. It also would help the defense if the offense converted a few 3rd downs. Especially in the 3rd downs in the first half. I do think  they can play better.
