Should Jeremy Johnson Start Next Week?

I wish the Detroit coach was able to get close to Jim Harbaugh. Harbaugh would have kicked his a$$. -

If you look at the depth chart for the Texas State game there is a clear 2nd QB with the last name Johnson. [Hidden Content] -
Bridge City @ WOS who you got?

Coach Woodard at Lamar closed practices to the fan's and media. I think with everything going on Coach Thompson has every right to close practices. We'll see if it works out well Friday night. I can wait as this will be a great district game. -

I think this game depends on which team shows up. Nothing against Orangefield but they are a one dimensional football team. They run the ball 98% of the time and the one time I remember them passing against WO-S Da'Carlos Renfro brought it back for a pick 6. If WO-S doesn't get that play from Renfro they might have lost to the Bobcat's. The offense for the Mustang's as struggled most of the season and BC is pretty good on defense. If Menard has a good game for the Cardinals I can see a upset this Friday and I'll be at this game. I think BC's offense does just enough to win a close game. 17-10 Redbirds. -
Like WOSgrad said this is happening way too often. It breaks my heart to hear about these young people losing their life. Prayers from Orange for the family, friends, Vidor HS and community.

What does that matter as I did rank his preformance as a B? I'm talking about the long term success of the program would be better if we have a great QB. So, give Johnson the playing time now when he is okay and hopefully in 3 years that experience with help him be a great player. Then maybe the team will follow his lead and be more competitive for a conference championship than it is now. It has nothing to do with Bevil playing bad or good. It is about the future success of the program. -

No, he is a Prewittsexual. LOL. There has to be some type of connection. Family member, friend, fan of Kelly HS or alumnus. -
As good as johnson played tonite in just one half do you think woodard would wanna take that chance at losing another game(homecoming game at that)
To be honest, I don't think Lamar can beat Central Arkansas no matter who the Cards have at QB.
Agree they beat McNeese and the Cowboys lost to Texas State by two. I'm not worried about Johnson winning this year. I'm looking at the future of the program. -

I think the coaching staff has to decide if they are really ready to win the conference championship (which we all know we aren't). So, IMO they should play Johnson as he threw for a TD and ran 59 yards for another. He is a red-shirt freshman as is pretty good. However, with experience he can be great by the time he is a senior and the team can follow his lead and be highly competitive in the SLC or whatever conference we're in in 3 years. -

Now, who stated Johnson wouldn't be able to make long runs because he played 3A football? -
Not looking good for CCS as mid way through the 2nd quarter it is 35-22 Humble Chr. Life leading.
