  1. They followed all the proper procedures. Had all their I's dotted and T's crossed. Everyone involved with the transfer signed off on it. This was not underhanded. It was a mistake.

They become ineligible when they play the 1st snap IF you have not done the due diligence required to assure his/her eligibility.

We can all break the law, but we are all aware that we will stand in judgement if we are caught. They have been judged and reprimanded.

They become ineligible the 1st snap even if they do everything by the book..........I just believe they have opened a door they will later wish they had left closed. This situation will happen again.

If I were at Manvel right now I would be coming up with some colorful run through posters today.

  2. So you believe this was a violation worthy of a stiffer penalty? That Katy HS should forfeit its season for playing a sophomore transfer for 10 plays in a game they were winning 67-0?

But Pats, when does an ineligible player actually become ineligible now? Can he play 10 plays? 20 plays? Not make a tackle or run with the ball? One is either eligible or ineligible......no gray here.

  3. lol...there are lots like her...and they vote.

    Good news for Hillary.

This is correct........the rich owe us something mentality. I could not finish watching as I was truly embarrassed for her. Somewhere a mom and a dad are questioning their decision to go forward with an unplanned pregnancy. This is my generations fault......this is the result of the give everyone a trophy generation.

  4. its not about the action necessarily in college in regards to athletes wrongdoing, nowadays its more about the person/college involved. If said athlete isn't "liked" or college isn't "liked" then its a huge deal while others that are "liked" gets it swept under the rug with little media buzz or absolutely none at all.

Are you saying there is bias based on the likability of the athlete and/or the school he attends?

    That is just........just.........absolutely correct

  5. you want to say something too

    and what about "the thrill"

    smdh

I agree.........but look, all schools have them. El Ced was pretty well known in Austin PD as well. Some of it is kids being kids but I do believe that when you are under the microscope like college athletes are today you have to watch yourself.

  6. How many times has this kid been in trouble?

NO ONE was thrown under the bus on strike one. John Boy has so many strikes he's already in the 3rd inning.

I agree to an extent Pat but he was constantly questioned from the first time he had a run in, and he is well into the 3rd inning if not later in the game........I was one of them saying this kid needed discipline. But with Barrett everyone seems to be ok with a slap on the wrist. I believe DUI is something that needs more punishment as it can affect many folks just driving down the road with their family.
