  1. She is googling them right now Nash......she will get back to you with what others tell her to do.

Would I send troops over there? Absolutely yes. I would send more than what we need to kill every person wearing one of those ISIS  flags. Be it 3,000 or 30,000. If twice that are killed in collateral damage so be it. Mosques, community buildings......everything is fair game. End this crap before they can grow, organize and do more damage. But our Blunder in Chief will send more troops to fight ebola than fight a group that wants nothing more than to kill every American that they can.

Once we get this sorted out we watch tv......., 3rd world, dog and cat eating country that burns US flags and complains about what we did, we cut off funding to them that day. If we cut off funding to countries that want to do us harm we would probably pay for this little excursion.

I am through responding ...........Nash, you do the light work please

  2. BigTroll formerly known as Biggurl............Maybe I should enlist and go...........but we do have a full military of great men and women that sign-up to do just this task. What they don't have is a Commander in Chief with balls to fight the ones I believe he is a sympathizer of. Oh wait, I am sorry, he is sending troops to fight the ebola virus. Good job Hussein

  3. Baddog is right...........I said this when Bush put troops over there. A lot of folks (Biggurl especially) will not like what I will say.

If we commit troops we go fully committed. We gut the damn place. Will civilians die? Absolutely. It is necessary to deal with these low life radicals.

This is war folks, not the homecoming dance. I hope we have learned from previous battles not to hamstring our troops. Hell, warn everyone. Be out of here by this date, we will come through here and if you are here, you are the enemy.

  4. I will preface what I say with saying I love high school sports.

My fiancé is a teacher. Her math department lost teachers over the summer and they did not replace all of them. Each math class now has over the amount of students that are designed to be in the classroom. She has to have 3 lesson plans per class (regular kids, ESL kids and slower kids). The part that infuriates the teachers, and myself, the school added another coach to the staff that carries a couple of classes but not math. Athletics goes unaffected but again the teachers are left to deal with all the issues.

I will go back to my original statement......I love high school athletics. BUT, they need to have their place. The are extras outside of actual schoolwork. The school should be funded first. Teachers should have everything they need for their class and class sizes should be manageable. THEN, sports are funded out of the extra's. If we want to get rid of wasted dollars, look no further than the overstuffed front offices (principals on top of principals along with a coordinator for every subject) and the 12 to 16 coaches on the sidelines of a football game. Whether my son/daughter plays sports or not, they are there for an education first.

  5. I do not know that whatnamecanipick........but I have been told by more than one person (2 teachers and a coach) that this happens. I am not trying to get anyone or any school in trouble, I had never heard of this and found it interesting.

He is a very smart kid (all high level classes at his parents demand). He was never allowed to take the easy road in school.

  6. Question to discuss........

Can a student athlete profit financially off of a scholarship?

The Recruit: Highly recruited football player with excellent grades. Offered a football scholarship at a $$$$ private school. Was also awarded a full ride scholastic scholarship to the same school. I am told, certainly not privy to details, the kid attends on his football ride and will leave school with $$$$ in bank from his scholastic ride.

Can this happen is my first question. If so, can it be done at any school or just private schools? If that is the case then doesn't that create a severely unlevel playing field for state schools?

  7. I agree in part RaiderRed...........but in the end the kid does not make that decision. There is tough and there is stupid.

Had Petty taken one more good shot and been lost for 4, 6, 8 games Briles would have been roasted.

BUT, every athlete is one hit away from not playing

  8. Just a quick thought...........aTm and Georgia looked good............the balance looked ok (Bama included). I have always heard from aggie faithful that they loved the SEC because SEC teams backed other SEC teams, it was all about the conference...........I was at a big tailgate inside the Reliant Center before the LSU game and while watching Bama I could not help but notice there was not one single LSU fan wanting Bama to win. Quite the opposite cussing at TV's when they went into the lead.

I thought Okie Lite played a great game as well
