That reminds me of another joke...
A 60-year-old, 70-year-old and 80-year-old men were sitting around arguing one day on what age was worst to reach when getting old.
The 60 year old said, I get up at 6 every morning and go to the bathroom but I stand there for several minutes but and it just trickles and almost nothing comes out.
The 70 year old said, that’s nothing. I get up at 7am and have to go poop but I sit there for 20 minutes and nothing happens.
The 80-year-old man said, y’all have it easy. To which the 60-year-old said, you can’t go urinate in the morning either? The 80-year-old man said, sure, at 6am it comes like a flood.
The 70-year-old then said, oh so you can’t go poop either? The 80-year-old said, sure, at 7am it is like the gates open and you can’t stop it.
So the 60 and 70-year-old men asked, then what’s the problem?
The 80-year-old man replied, “you don’t wake up until 8”.

A teenaged boy goes to confessional.  “Forgive me Father for I have sinned.  I have been with a loose girl.”
The priest asks, “Is that you, Little Johnny?”
    ”Yes, Father, it is.”
”And who was this girl you were with?”
”I can’t tell you Father.  I don’t want to ruin her reputation.”
“Well Johnny, I’m sure to find out her name sooner or later, so you may as well tell me how.  Was it Emily Jones?”
    ”I cannot say.”
    ”Was it Lauren Peter’s?”
    ”I’ll never tell Father.”
    ”Was it Amelia Parker?”
”I’m sorry, but I cannot name her.”
    ”Was it Grace Smith?”
    ”My lips are sealed.”
”Okay, so it was Mia O’Malley then?”
”Please Father.  I really can’t tell you.”
The priest sighs in frustration.  “You’re very tight-lipped, and I admire that.  But you have sinned my son, and you have to atone.  You can no longer continue to be an altar boy until 4 months have passed.  Now go and behave yourself.”
    ”Yes, Father.”
Johnny walks back to his pew, and his friend Jimmy slides over and whispers, “What’d you get?”
Little Johnny grins... “Four months vacation and 5 good leads!”

Just heard biden is sending $150M to Ukraine to help them secure their border with Russia.  Hello dumbass, how about the US border with Mexico?  Wonder what quid pro quo they had to adhere to so they could get that money.  There is a history with Ukraine and biden concerning quid pro quo’s.  That is a fact whether or not big girl and the other idiot Dims believe it.

I think that's the reason lots of older folks (myself included) in the US don't enjoy watching soccer, we never played it.  Soccer wasn't played in school when I was there and my kids played some soccer but mostly other sports.  I can definitely appreciate the athleticism required to move a ball down the field and score with no hands, lol.

Everyone should take the time to look at many other polls that Politico/Morning Consult have conducted and the results, it's very good entertainment.
Thanks for the morning humor, actually made me laugh out loud.
I just did a poll and 1/3 of the Trump haters believe this poll.

A Virginia mom who endured Mao Zedong’s Cultural Revolution before immigrating to the U.S. ripped a Virginia school board at a public meeting Tuesday over its stubborn support of the controversial critical race theory.
"I’ve been very alarmed by what’s going on in our schools," Xi Van Fleet told the Loudoun County School Board members. "You are now teaching, training our children to be social justice warriors and to loathe our country and our history."
She likened CRT, which critics deride as a form of "neo-racism," to China’s Cultural Revolution, a Mao-led purge that left between 500,000 and 20 million people dead from 1966 to 1976. The estimates vary greatly and many details have been shrouded in secrecy for decades.

Agree 100%, I have been around quite a few home schooled kids and most seem to be confident and well rounded.  The ones that have entered the public or private school systems are many times more advanced than their peers.  I think it's great, but it takes special parents to pull it off, not sure I would make that cut, lol.

My postings may be erratic.  I sometimes try to think of something profound, but can’t.  Then a couple come along, like today.  Was reading an old post I kept on S. Print of a Bible quote from 2nd Timothy Ch 4 vs 3 & 4.  I’m using the St Joseph, but it’s virtually the same in King James.
I became Catholic about 50 years ago.  Once had a Catholic Priest preach, “The main thing is to be a good Christian.  If there’s something in Catholicism that’s a barrier to you being a good Christian, you might consider becoming a Baptist or Methodist (some old parishioners dropped their teeth, lol).  Personally, I thought it the most Christian thing I’d ever heard anyone say.  At that time, “new” non-denominational Churches were almost unheard of.  Now they’re everywhere.  I’m sure some may be fine, but I wonder about others, which brings me back to this Bible quote:
3- The time is sure to come when people will not accept sound teaching, but their ears will be itching for anything new and they will collect themselves a whole series of teachers according to their own taste.
4- And then they will shut their ears to the truth and will turn to myths.
Point is, if for whatever reason your Church is blocking you from being a good Christian, be careful you don’t pick a Church that leads you astray.

Your opinion.  We home-schooled our three boys and all three are contributing members of society.  I appreciate your perspective but I strongly disagree.  The right to educate our children in the way we see fit is our right.  There is nothing wrong with a Christ-based education.

To each his own.  I think you want me to debate you and become open to the ways of the world.  I’m not sure which characteristics you say I lack, but I am okay with who I am.  I sin daily, am convicted and do what I can to be the best Christian I can be.  I serve a risen Savior and wish you nothing but the best.  I believe the topic was Critical Race Theory, and I do not agree with it.  Hopefully that gets things back on track.

June 15 is the day the invasion actually started but yes like Normandy there were bombings in the days up to it including the Philippine Sea (which is rumored to have a ship sunk carrying mosquitoes infected with the plague).

As for being as important as D-Day, this was the first Japanese land the US invaded. It led directly to the resignation of Tojo, the shift in strategy from Japan, and the realization that the war was lost. The US could now directly bomb the country something it hadn’t done other than once in 1942. The three islands eventually held 15 runways about 8-10 were used for B-29s.

The night you were referring to was Operation Meetinghouse the first firebombing attack something that even the US did not know the damage it would cause. It continued until the Atomic Bombs were dropped (the first one actually left San Francisco before the test as Los Alamos). The reasoning for the use is pretty incredible since it was partly due to the Soviets, our allies, starting to invade Korea to meet us in Japan.

Just think these 3 Battles should be discussed a whole lot more and remembered similar to D-Day because it was the start of the end of the War in the Pacific and in one islands case, directly led to a change in how the entire world operates regarding conflicts.
