​Therein lies part of the problem. The law is written that the person that an officer detains or arrests has no opinion at that moment in time that matters. You cannot resist or evade a detention or arrest because you feel that you have "done no wrong". In fact laws says that even an "unlawful arrest" is not a defense to prosecution of resisting the officer.
The law is and has to be that officer's authority on the street is not open for debate at the roadside. If an officer pulls you over for a traffic violation, you do not get a legal pass not to stop because you don't think you did anything wrong. You can fight the case in traffic court and you can sue the officer if you believe your rights have been violated. Fail to stop in a vehicle and it is a felony and can result with a person being in prison. 
There are plenty of places to legally protest an officer's actions. During the incident is not one of them.

The TSA should be more concerned with middle eastern men than grandmothers.
If that's profiling...oh, well.

​Bottom line is that if you have one (or preferably more) competent and trained teachers, administrators and/or on campus security carrying firearms, the kids are safer, period.
Plus, there is an immediate response when a threat shows up.  I know I'm preaching to the choir, but I just don't see the down side.

agree.  it's not practical or affordable for every school to have a fulltime police officer, but it's not impractical to think that every school has at least a teacher or two that is capable of handling a firearm.  on top of that, many teachers would be willing to run towards danger to protect their students.  I emailed our (ex) superintendent a couple of years ago after Sandy Hook asking about the possibility of our district sending a teacher or two from every campus to training to become qualified to carry on campus, but I was politely shot down.

Currently underway w/numerous air boats,horsemen/cowboys evacuating 500 head cattle from rising trinity river floodwaters.This is the highest recorded flood,and tireless days of preparations (incl building a dirt levee around the last available cattle pasture on a high spot,levee failed,so evacuation forced moving the est 1million $ cattle to CNC rail yard on hiway 146.Looking@ videos cattle quite tired of swimming in current.Once they reach hiway 90(soon now)they will shut down highway 90 between Lib/Dayt,drive the cattle to FM 1409 near Brookshire Bros then down to Brown Road to highway 146 south.Expect numerous roads closed to traffic for next several hours.This is historic for friends/family/volunteers pulling together under extreme/dangerous conditions.The sm young baby calves had to be rescued first yesterday as they can't/don't know to swim.Some may say/ask why they waited=answer the last pasture had NEVER had water on it.Folks don't stop to think every river in Tx is flooding sending flood waters into the bays which dump into the Gulf.Now when high tides come in the flooding water upstream can't flow=backing water up.Upstream lakes are flooding but holding water as much as possible being above normal pool.Just in the Trinity River basin TX has 12 major lakes,all above normal pool.The 12 lakes combine for 197,000 surface acres of water not incl.subdivision/man made private lakes/ponds.Prayers to all volunteers during this time,incl law enforcement,others
