Hang around Hoops. You’re the only sane lefty around. Even though we disagree on political views, I still think we could sit down and throw back some brewskies, which is the way it should be anyway. Lol

Yep, just as bad. Although you miss the distinction that Twitter isn’t government owned. I just love being in the middle while the hypocritical idiots on the fringes of both sides continue to play whataboutism. Super productive.

[Hidden Content] ABC can fire an employee that’s bad for business based on speech or whatever. A government official using his position to exert pressure on the network to do so is a free speech violation. Ted Cruz is right. You can’t be a champion of smaller government and support this kind of BS.

  9. WB is the 3rd best team in that district behind Lufkin and PAM. The Bruins do have the great equalizer as headcoach. So we'll see how it plays out.

I agree 100 percent with you on that! (Although I wouldn’t classify myself as a “lefty” lol - those folks wouldn’t give me a card if they saw some of the ballots I cast 😉.) And the feeling is mutual. We do disagree on a lot of issues but I always am interested in your opinions and appreciate your insight. I’m sad that’s a rarity in today’s world.

    2025 Astros

He's definitely a "glass half empty" guy. Astros are not just 1 game back of Seattle, but they are also just 1 game back of being the #2 overall seed in the AL. Lot's can happen over these last 8 games and they all are not negative like someone would lead you to believe.

Already giving up on this series? Astros don’t need fair weather fans. Heck, you’re not even that.

I don't recall the left being free speech champions during the 2016 election when Trump lost his platform on Twitter during a Presidential election....OR, during covid with everyone. I posted receipts in this tread earlier of Kamala, Schumer and Jefferies of trying to persuade free speech. To me, banning a Presidential candidate from the largest social media platform was one of the worst "free speech" issues in my lifetime, yet the left seemed pretty happy about it.......

  20. West Brook big played Silsbee for this win. Of the seven TD's, six were 30+ yards or more, with four being 50+ or more.( includes the 90 yard pick six) Silsbee actually finished the game with almost three times as many first downs as WB. Can't say I have ever seen a game where that stat came with a 35 point loss. Silsbee moved the ball fairly well between the 20's. Just never could get it in the endzone efficiently. West Brook was just too fast on both sides of the ball for the Tigers. I think I may have to attend that WB at PAM game on Oct. 17.

  21. Not quite wos punted and had VERY lackadaisical coverage and an Espiscopal player scooped it up and returned it for a TD. XP was blocked final was WOS 52 Episcopal 23 that last td would have driven Hooks/CT absolutely insane.

Roseanne Barr – Fired by ABC/Disney and her hit show Roseanne canceled overnight in 2018 after one tweet. Hundreds of cast and crew lost their jobs. Gina Carano – Fired from The Mandalorian in 2021 for social media posts that didn’t fit the Left’s politics. Dropped by her agency too. Scott Baio- For being a MAGA suppprter. Was black balled by the elites in Hollywood and denied acting jobs. Megyn Kelly – Fired by NBC in 2018, her morning show canceled after comments about Halloween costumes. Dave Chappelle – Netflix employees staged a walkout and demanded his comedy special be pulled for “transphobia.” The Left tried hard to cancel him. Joe Rogan – The Left pressured Spotify to drop him, running coordinated campaigns and advertiser boycotts over COVID discussions. Tucker Carlson – Taken off Fox News in 2023. Liberal activists bragged about advertiser pressure campaigns that helped force him out, costing thousands of downstream jobs. Parler – Apple, Google, and Amazon colluded in 2021 to wipe the entire platform off the internet. Tens of thousands of small creators and businesses lost income overnight. J.K. Rowling – Blacklisted from events, attacked by activists, and pressured out of projects for speaking her mind. Mike Lindell – MyPillow pulled from major retailers, banned from Twitter, and targeted with advertiser boycotts. Alex Jones – Simultaneously banned in 2018 by YouTube, Facebook, Apple, and Spotify. Coordinated erasure celebrated as a model for censorship. Patterns are clear: Coordinated advertiser boycotts. Public celebrations of people losing jobs and businesses. Two sets of rules — the Left can lie (Russia hoax, Covington kids smear, Jussie Smollett, etc.) and laugh about it, but the Right gets destroyed. Accountability only ever goes one way. The Left has spent the last decade perfecting cancel culture, destroying jobs, nuking shows, wiping platforms off the internet, and laughing while people’s lives were ruined. But sure… Jimmy Kimmel smugly lying about a political assassination? Totally fine. Food for thought.

  29. For PNG, I’d like to see the O-line continue to gel in the run game. La Porte was a big leap forward in how we moved the ball on the ground. I was worried we’d get stuffed all four quarters. The secondary needs work, of course, but it’s much better than last year and the open-field tackling has been back to 2022-2023 form. I hope the state ranking and the big win over La Porte don’t cloud our vision. It’s a tough district, and preseason records don’t tell us everything about how a season will go. I haven’t seen much of Dayton, and nothing from the two Montgomery schools. I think Lake Creek is down from last year. We’ll find out next week. Just going off game results (and Dayton’s first game, which I was able to watch) Dayton and Montgomery are looking good. Huntsville has some issues, especially tackling and the blocking has been spotty, but they’re fast and big and if they tighten up they should be solid. Nederland has to figure out some offense. Until we see if that happens, it’s hard not to wonder what will happen against district opponents. West Fork looks fundamentally sound - I think they’ll surprise some people. Splendora is Splendora.
