Last time I was in Vancouver, it was almost Little China. I believe I read somewhere where they finally had to pass some legislation banning Chinese/foreign buyers. We used to go to Seattle Fleet Week, and book a salmon fishing guide in Victoria Island after the ferry ride from Anacortes. Wife loved salmon fishing (and fresh Dungeness crab LOL). Always a nice time in Seattle area—if you didn’t mind drizzle. Victoria Island is my second favorite place behind Switzerland. Seattle has gone to pot & Portland is worse. I probably mentioned before I didn’t leave anything on the West Coast that would make me want to go back.

I was not going to mention it, but since Seattle came up here goes: I was in Seattle two weeks ago. To get from SeaTac airport to the City, you take the "rail link" train for $6. Our trip to the city was not that bad, Went to the Pike Market, wharf, etc. All good. I did notice lots of homeless /drug addict types on the rail. Some seemed to be riding without a destination, sleeping, catatonic, etc. Second trip on the same rail we decided to go into the city and eat Chinese food. This coincided with the No Kings rally. All I can say it was a pageant of circus freaks. Some examples are two gay guys wearing Communist "hammer and sickle" T-shirts, black bandanas over their face, calling each other "comrade", two tatted up lesbians with shaved heads, a older guy in a Harry Potter Wizard costume, who you could smell from 10 ft. away, and a host of (apparently) Mexicans waving the Mexican flag. They all had some version of "no Kings" and F-Trump signs. You could literally see the hate in their eyes. A circus of angry, deranged, hate filled freaks. Seattle is a beautiful place. Sad to see it so Anti-American blue.

Reason for my concern about Trump’s Truth Social clip. Living/working in one of the world’s largest refinery/petrochem complexes along the Texas Gulf Coast makes one seriously consider how much they trust a minimum wage rent-a-cop at the gate & on a golf cart toodling around. Iran blocking Hormuz wouldn’t hurt the U.S. near as much as getting through one of these jokes of security gates.

Diesel is a definite issue & need. It’s why I mentioned it as being something to watch in another post. I don’t think it will spike horribly more than it has in the last month or so. But, I have seen a steady rise. $3.49 is high for around the Ship Channel area though. More competition.

The Victory+ app is available to download on Samsung tvs (mine is a couple years old). I wouldn't be able to watch Dallas Stars games otherwise. Its great. They also carry Rangers baseball games and a few other sports as well.

Nothing funny at all and very poor exhibit of character with that use of the X account. Doesn't matter if someone controls that content and not Trump himself. That is not what a POTUS should be doing or representing. Quite embarrassing to say the least. And I support the decision to make the strike against Iran and it's nuclear facilities. Was very much needed. But don't make a mockery of it.

Releasing video goes by; 1. State law on allowing, requiring or restricting release in an open records act. People sometimes believe that open records or Freedom of Information type laws are universal on being mandatory to release everything. That is not correct. Some things have to be released, some might be optional and other records are restricted and can’t be released. 2. Department policy. It is sometimes a legal issue depending on state law and then it is a separate political issue.

Let me put it this way… Would you unnecessarily taunt a sworn enemy who has an unknown number of people of unknown whereabouts in your country who are questionable enough the FBI puts out alerts?

What I have found is Trump's superpower is his unpredictability and his directness. You never know how he is going to react and you never know what he is going to say.....but you never have to guess about his opinion on anything, he has no issue telling you. Also, have you noticed the difference between 1st term NATO summit meeting and 2nd term. Everyone, except Spain has agreed to increase their NATO contributions to 5%. A video or videos was released to the news media. They were supposed to view it but not release it to the public. I don’t know how that has held up…. A talking head or two claims that there is nothing on the video showing self defense. Without seeing it, it is impossible to know with the way the media spins things. Even seeing it might not be good enough to show the incident. Anyway, for the moment there are claims that self defense won’t stand up in court.

What I get sick and tired of, and it’s getting worse as I get older, is 70-80 year old men with grudges and egos sending 20-30 year old men and women to die for their outdated grudges and oversized egos. I come from a military family. My father served, my brother served, I served, my son & daughter-in-law served, along with most of my nieces, nephews, and cousins. I’m just getting sick and tired of the politics by tweet, and juvenile behaviors. Too many young people are—and have been—dying. We all need to pick better so-called leaders. I dare say that most of the younger people (even those of us in our 60’s) don’t really care about the old grudges any more. We just want to live our lives with our families in peace and a level of prosperity. We tell our kids to minimize time on social media, don’t send something quick without sitting on it and thinking about it for a while, but we’ve got leaders conducting foreign policy with major stakes on the line by frickin tweet. Ridiculous and sad.

Once you agree to a ceasefire, if you really want it, and you’ve basically already achieved massive success, then abide by the ceasefire. Don’t play 5 year old and say “I’m gonna take one more whack.” That’s amateur hour. On both sides. Both Netanyahu and Khomeini need to go. There won’t be lasting peace possible as long as those two are still in place. Too old school and neither will ever change. The Iranian people need to take care of Khomeini and crew (possibly with a little help from their neighbors), and Israel needs elections. While the Iranian regime is the weakest it’s been in many years is the perfect time. China nor Russia will step in to help.
