Heard we may not start some of the starters and let them rest. Couple were out 2 weeks and coach wants them ready for next week which will be homecoming. Need to be ready for Colmesneil and Lovelady...….

Yikes, who's all out anyways? @WH34 said the quarterback was out and I'm not believing that till I hear it from other sources. I know the Farr kid is out for at least a bit but that's the only one I'm sure of.

I know Farr is out one more week, the other kid that broke his leg is obviously out, I haven't heard anything about our QB, seen him last night at Walmart with another group of our boys and there were no issues. He, my son and a couple of others run together and they all go out to eat every Thursday, team bonding. My son is starting WR & CB and he said nothing about our QB hurt. If he is out it would only be because of my earlier statement that the starters were going to be sitting a lot because didn't want to take chances of anyone getting hurt and that will give them 2 weeks of rest, which is huge. We normally play our lower classman in these games, for experience. The second string QB is a good one and can run and throw, he would be fine if he plays. My son told me first of the week he wasn't going to be starting at CB position this week so he could rest but would be out at WR.

@NetCat @WH34I heard they were sitting the QB and all the basketball guys out. They should still be able to get the W even with sitting out most of the kids I think.

I still don't think it is going to be close. The freshman QB coming in is going to be a very good one next few years and can play some ball now. He can throw and he can run. Also the running backs they will be using have lots of speed and can also move the ball. the WR's we will have playing can also catch the ball. Only 5 of the seniors playing football play basketball, so we will still have a talented group on the field with lots of speed. Also, just partial to the Reb's….. LOL

I do love football and don't want to rush it but cant wait for Basketball... Going to be an exciting season.....

Why exciting? I thought it was going to be a rebuilding year for the Rebs? Was I misinformed?

@TigerAlumni85 will you make a thread in the basketball Forum to answer though, so we don't get our hands swatted for getting off topic lol.

I must've accidentally clicked Burke! haha No chance they blow Evadale out! I don't think this is a rebuilding year for basketball at all!! There are some STUDS this year. I'd even say the best group coming through in the last 4 years. They are going to make last year's team look like some chumps! I heard they have some transplants that didn't play football because they were getting ready for basketball too. Apparently there is a 6'7" junior that came this year.

    • Sen. Tom Cotton was talking about all the tents set up at the Ivy League schools. Poor college stundents are so poor they scream to have the debt "forgiven" (transferred to us) but suddenly hundreds of brand new $500 tents show up. That Soros money does a lot.

    • The Bible prophesied the destruction and restoration of Israel and the gathering back of God’s people. I don’t know about the purity of the twelve tribes, but God’s word is true regardless of how man interprets it. God says he will bless those the support Israel. Many consider Israel bullies because they don’t agree with the magnitude of their defense towards their attackers. The Old Testament is full of God’s support of the annihilation of their enemies.
    • Here is the facebook post for y'all   I’m not going to put names or schools on this, but feel free to screen shot it to whoever you like. Yes yes, I’m a baseball guy. But I love football more than baseball. My son played all three sports in high school. So I’m not a baseball only guy. But if your high school football coach has your Varsity baseball son doing football drills in pads right now, that is wrong. At one certain school, the baseball team lost their starting third baseman (Gladiator kid) because he dislocated his elbow in a football drill. Two weeks before high school baseball playoffs, and now his season is done. Basically this coaches decision to make Varsity baseball players do football workouts on April 22nd, 5 months before Friday night lights, just sabotaged this kids season, and the teams season. And once again, I’m a huge football supporter, but this is wrong!! This is why kids stop playing football. Coaches preach they want kids playing all the sports, well how about respect baseball season, from Feb to May !  If the shoe was on the other foot, and a kid got injured playing baseball in October and he was a varsity football starter, what would that coach do? Be pissed off! And I would 100% agree with him! There is a reason I don’t have a fall baseball program with football guys. Because I respect football season. All I’m asking is football coaches to respect baseball season. Respect the High School baseball coaches that have worked their ass off to try to get their team in a playoff situation. Support them, don’t Sabotage them by taking their players out because of a “all important April 22nd” football workout. And I don’t want to hear this was bad luck, or any crap like that!!!A lot of these kids are Division One Baseball players, and just good high school football players. If you want to continue to have these kids play football, start doing the right thing. If not, I’m going to try to get those kids quit football and just focus on baseball. And let me say it again, I want all my Gladiator kids playing football!! I go support them watching their football games, and I love it!! But not at the cost of an injury in April playing football, not baseball . Bad miss……Do a better job! Be a better football coach, and remember, it’s not about you, but it’s about the kids who respect you and will do anything you ask them to do. Don’t punish them for being a good baseball or basketball player!!
    • Only if you ignore the Constitution. I get the sentiment but I sometimes ponder when others may say, “We always support the Constitution”, “The Constitution has to be followed as the law of the land”, etc.  When in reality they mean, “I LOVE THE CONSTITUTION……. except the parts I don’t like”. There are certainly parts of the Constitution that I would change if I had the option.
