Yes, the name "Redskins" is widely considered offensive, particularly by many Native Americans, and has been a source of controversy for decades. The term is viewed as a racial slur and a derogatory term for Native Americans, and its use as a sports team name has been protested by Native American groups and activists. Here's why it's offensive: Historical Context: The term "Redskins" is rooted in a history of violence and discrimination against Native Americans, including the practice of offering bounties for the scalps of Native Americans. Racial Slur: Many consider "Redskins" to be a racial slur, similar to other derogatory terms for racial groups, according to the American Civil Liberties Union. Impact on Native Americans: Studies have shown that the name can negatively impact the self-esteem and identity of Native American individuals, especially youth, according to a UC Berkeley study. Perpetuates Stereotypes: The use of "Redskins" as a sports team name perpetuates harmful stereotypes and reinforces negative imagery of Native Americans, says the National Congress of American Indians.

where do we draw the line? If 1 person in a million does not like something we say, we have to stop saying it? I believe we need to go back to sticks and stones....

Trump reposted on Truth social. Why?

Look at the logo

The Cleveland Indians changed their name to the Guardians due to decades of criticism surrounding the "Indians" name and the "Chief Wahoo" logo for being culturally insensitive and offensive to Native Americans. The decision to change the name was also influenced by the national conversation around racial justice and the removal of offensive mascots and team names following the death of George Floyd. Here's a more detailed explanation: Decades of Criticism: The Cleveland Indians had faced increasing criticism and protests for decades regarding their name and the "Chief Wahoo" logo, which were seen as perpetuating harmful stereotypes and caricatures of Native Americans. Pressure from Native American Groups: Native American groups and activists had been advocating for a name change for a long time, arguing that the name and logo were disrespectful and demeaning to their culture and heritage.

I don't get offended by Redneck or Coonazz - I could fit both of those categories.

Libs made fun of Trump for not “draining the swamp” his first go round. Taking down Obama, Hillary, and their evil cronies is draining the heart of the swamp. I will not make light of the hoax Obama and Hillary created to take down Trump and mislead the American people for years. The typical lib response….”nothing to see here” because they don’t care that they were duped.

I played with Roger in college for a few years, and I'll just say this. If he brings the same intensity to REL that he brought every day in college, they are in fine hands. Rooting for success for REL and Coach Sutterfield!!

Johnson will move from WR to QB. It will give Silsbee a little more versatility at the position. Dual threat. Silsbee will need someone to take a step forward as RB. Got two or three that will play but needs one of them to be the "man" on a consistent basis. A couple got some experience last year. Need to improve on taking care of the ball. WR core will be just fine. Probably doesn't have a game breaker within the core, but solid group. As mentioned above, Silsbee's offensive strength will definitely be their O-line. Will be the best in the district and one of the best in the region.

So, are we taking advice from Brennan now? Again, not disputing the seriousness of the crime. Yes, it was a crime if proven. Just disputing the characterization from a legal standpoint. SCOTUS has ruled on treason many times as you've pointed out. This doesn't appear to fit. But, it does fit numerous other felony categories that could justify SERIOUS jail time among other penalties. I've mentioned falsifying documents already. Election subversion would also seem to be an easy one if the documented evidence proves out. Providing false testimony, and--yes--even criminal conspiracy could be other pertinent charges. These are all felonies in this circumstance. Not quite sure what it says about us that we could have 2 POTUS/former POTUS with felony convictions.

I think I know what you're trying to say, but any legal system based on religion is against the Establishment Clause of the Constitution. So, Shariah Law will never be legally binding according to U.S. law. Parties can enter into an agreement using it if both agree. But, it won't be legally binding. Any agreement would roll back under U.S. law if there were a dispute. I do think the Democratic Party has gotten themselves into a pickle with this issue. New York City is really making many have a wake-up call.

Biggest strength would be the O line I imagine

Who will Silsbee have in the backfield this season? What will be our biggest strengths on offense?
